3: This song was chosen because of its soft melody, and warm tone. The song connects with the very beginning of the novel when Kino was "innocent" and content with life.

5: The quick beat with connecting chords sounds like the movements of a scorpion. It connects to the point in the story when Coyotito gets bitten.

6: The Song of the Enemy: The Imperial March- Metallica

7: The eerie feeling given off by the song reminds the viewer of a dark force plotting against them. This connects to the part in the novel when he mentions that the town had become a scorpion, getting ready to bite.
