4: It all starts in a hospital in San Antonio. Dina Harrington is a patient there for having Hodgkin's disease , a type of cancer. She suddenly gets a new roommate namedJulie Gambrell. When Julie first gets there everyone has trouble trying to find out the things about her. Julie opens up to Dina & then always relies on her. Julie would always talk about this man named Sikes.
5: It turns out he had a different, real name, it was just his name in the play with Julie's mom. When Julie got to the hospital she had no relatives. Dina soon got well enough to leave the hospital. Now Julie and Dina live with Mr. and Mrs.Cardenas.
6: Dina Harrington - Dina is skinny and tall, She has Hodgkin's disease, a type of cancer. Her hair is curly, short, and baby fine. She has to wear a wig. Julie Gambrell - Julie is nine years old. Very small, but strong. Short brunette hair. Mrs.Cardenas - Very sweet women who helps Julie and Dina out. Dr.Cruz - Doctor of Dina. Dr.Lynn Manning - Doctor of both Julie and Dina. Sikes - Julie thinks he's a bad guy. Dark hair, tall and his hair is curly. Dave - Tall, muscular, and dark skinned,
8: Internal Conflicts : Julie keeps things to herself and doesn't open up. Dina also has internal because of her cancer problem and how she feels about Julie. External Conflicts : Julie has external because of her problems with people. Dina has external also because of Dave.
9: Julie solves her conflicts by opening up to Dina and finding out things she didn't know that were important. Dina solves her conflicts by staying friends with Dave. Also she keeps Julie close to her and cares for her.
10: Joan Lowery Nixon is a four time Edgar winner with her novels. Author of many good books such as "The Specter" and "The Name of the Game was Murder."
11: Recommendation I loved this book. I recommend you read it because it kept me on edge. It had much suspense at the end. This is my second book that I have read by Joan Lowery Nixon. She is such a good author.
