3: Thesis Statement: Thurgood Marshall was a great man who changed a lot of lives.
5: Thurgood Marshall was born to William and Norma Marshall on July 2nd, 1908. He grew up in an integrated neighborhood in Baltimore. He learned some of his ideals that he carried on with him for the rest of his life.
6: Marshall went through a lot of schooling and training to get where he wanted to be in life. In September of 1925, Marshall became a student at Lincoln University. He studied humanities while at Lincoln. He graduated cum laude in 1930.
8: Marshall got on the Supreme Court in 1967. He made very important decisions while on the Supreme Court that changed many lives. Marshall was not afraid to speak his mind. He had many great accomplishments. He was the first black Supreme Court justice. He will be well remembered.
9: I think that Thurgood Marshall was a great man who changed a lot of lives. In my opinion, he was the greatest Civil Rights activist in history, next to Mr. Martin Luther King Jr. of course. I think that he was great because he never gave up, stood up for himself, and stood up for what he believed in. I think that he was a very strong leader.
