Faith is definitely the most important thing in my life. I was raised as a Catholic along with my three other siblings in an amazing, loving, and faith-filled home. I chose the cross as one of my symbols to represent that our faith is the number one thing in our lives. It comes before everything else in life and I truly do not know where I would be without it. | I also chose to put a picture of me high jumping because this is a huge part of my life. I love participating in track. It is, in my opinion one of the greatest sports around. More specifically I love high jumping and I am very passionate about it. This picture captures it all.
I put the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin logo on my symbols page because when I was in 6th grade and then again in 8th grade, I had a major surgery to remove a hot dog sized tumor in my spinal canal. It was a very dangerous surgery and took six plus hours. If it weren't for the amazing and brilliant people at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee, I probably would not be walking today.
One of my values is respect. I chose to use this picture of me and my cousin Ben with our Grandma. I respect my Grandma so much. She has been through so much with the loss of my Grandpa and many health obstacles. Not just me, but many others respect my Grandma. I want to be someone who people respect and I believe that in order to receive respect, you have to give respect to others. | This symbol sums up my values. Family and faith are what I value the most in life, along with compassion, kindness, love, laughter, and so much more!
My family has many norms specific to us. For example, every weekend we travel as a family to watch my brother, Paul, play basketball. This is part of our weekly routine. Also, we go to church every Saturday or Sunday together. This is definitely our most important norm. Lastly, we just spend a lot of time together. Around the holidays especially, we are sure to be together. One of our traditions is always picking out a real Christmas tree and we do it every year as a family.
I think that my phone defines me because I use it for so many different things. The biggest thing I use my phone for is communication. Using my phone is a very easy way to communicate. It is something that I always have with me and is definitely an important material item to me. | Another item I love is makeup. I think that makeup is awesome. It is so fun to play with and see what styles you like. I wear my makeup in a very unique way and I feel like it helps define to others who I am and that I am different.
I love watching movies. One of my favorite things to do is have a movie marathon on a rainy day. I am usually a very active person but movies show the other side of me where I can be completely relaxed. Movies are something material-wise that I love. | Finally, clothing. I love clothing so much. Shopping for clothes is one of my favorite things to do. I love wearing clothes that represent who I am and define me. I think this is one of the main reasons why I like clothing so much. I can show my feelings through what I wear which is so cool. I could not survive without my clothes.
These are my siblings. Rachael is the oldest (25) and is married to Chris whom we all adore. Then comes Samuel (24), he is the silly one. Number three is Paul (22), we're the closest in age. And finally I came along. My siblings and I have so much fun together and love each other so much. We are inseparable and that will never change.
And here are my amazing parents. I have been so blessed to be raised in this family. I couldn't ask for a more loving, fun, and protective family. My family hasn't always had the new gadgets or toys but we are happy and that is the most important thing. It doesn't matter how much money you have or material items, what matters is whether or not you are happy and my family is extremely happy just how we are!
