FC: A Look at Womens Rights | By Kayla Minor

1: My dearest granddaughter, Today marks the 50th year of the Women's Rights Movement. The movement made strides that has given you the freedoms that you have today. Over the years, women have scratched and clawed their way up the food chain to fight for their rights. It has not been easy, there has been plenty of opposition that has prevented women from fulfilling the all the goals of the Women's rights movement. That opposition is growing ever stronger as the movement's progress has come to a screeching halt. Once upon a time, when grandmother was a little girl, my grandmother gave me a lovely scrapbook articling the aspects of the Women's Rights Movement. Looking at this book inspired me to fight for the rights that I was denied and I vowed when I became a grandmother I would follow in the steps of my grandmother and do the same for my granddaughter. So behind this letter lies the history of the Women's Rights Movement from 1945-1995. Take a look at this book and the women who made a difference. You don't have to follow in my foot steps , the choice is yours alone to decide. But I hope that this book will light a fire of justice as my grandmother did for me. Love , Grandmother Kay
