FC: Mix Book presentation WW2 Project

1: Why the US get involved in WWII? The reason was, when the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor which killed around 2,400 people in the process which lead Roosevelt proposed war against Japan to Congress.

2: When did the US get involved in the war? The US was involved between the years of 1941 to 1945

3: How did the war start? The war was started by mainly two things WW1 and the Great Depression. Because America and its allies won against Austria-Hungary and Germany and Germany had to pay for war cost then the Great Depression hit and Germany was in debt far more that any other country so then the rise of Adolf Hitler then he eventually wanted to be in total control of the world which lead to war.

4: Which countries were involved? There were countries like the US, Russia, Germany, China, Japan, South Africa, Poland and many other countries including Australia there is a reason why its called a World War because basically most of the world is involved in one way or another.

5: The weaponry of WWII There were airplanes, warships, submarines, tanks, there were also chemical warfare and the most powerful of all were the two atomic bombs used on Japan by America in hopes of making then surrender in turn made them do.

6: What was the importance of "Rosie the Riveter"? The importance was to encourage women to step forward and do the jobs that men left because they are going to war. There was a song and advertisements promoting "Rosie the Riveter".

8: How did WWII help end the Great Depression? The reason is the troops need for supplies like guns, airplanes and food so when industry picked up to supply these demands money started to move again people were buying little more and after the war was over industry still was moving and over time the recession eventually disappeared.
