WWII - Page Text Content

FC: WWII Evan100897

This page is dedicated to all the soldiers who risked their lives fighting for the United States of America.

There were a few reasons why the US got involved in WWII, but the main reason was because Japan unexpectedly bombed Pearl Harbor.

The US was "unofficially" "involved" in WWII from the very start, September 1,1939, but officially entered WWII on December 8,1941, the day after the Japanese bombed pearl Harbor. The US left WWII when it ended and the allies won in 1945.

World War II started with the invasion of Poland by the Nazi Germany and subsequent declarations of war on Germany by France and most of the countries of the British Empire and Commonwealth.

There were many countries involved in World War II. The main Axis powers were Germany, Italy, and Japan, while the main Allies powers were France, the Commonwealth countries, and the United States.

There were a lot of weapons in World War II such as assault rifles, handguns, submachine guns, rifles, and machine guns.

"Rosie the Riveter" was significant during World War II because she set an example to American women that they should do their part to help the American war effort. This lead to many women taking over men's jobs when they were away at war.

World War II helped end the Great Depression. Because the United States needed so many people to work in the factories more jobs were given to people which greatly helped the economy.
