FC: Zippy's Stripes
Zippy's Stripes Written by, Group 6 of Ms. Bagwell's English class.
Zippy was a little bee. About the same age as you and me.
He buzzed; he zipped. He flew; he flipped!
Zippy was a cute little thing, with the fastest little wings
Little Zippy grew and grew. He grew so fast nobody knew, just how fast Zippy grew
Zippy's mother told him this' "Don't fly too fast or there'll be things you miss."
Then Zippy smiled and waved goodbye "I'll see you round five, back at the hive."
He swooped and whirled. Then he twisted and twirled.
Through the white puffy clouds, while buzzing, and bizzing aloud.
Flying faster and faster becoming the wind's new master.
His mother's voice rang in his head but he chose to fly even faster instead.
Nearly five and Zippy was back at the hive Never before had he felt so alive.
He ran inside and caused his mother sudden surprise. His mother swore she was seeing lies.
His mother sighed and began to say, "Just how fast did my little bee fly today."
Zippy shrugged, not wanting to say just how fast he'd flown today.
I told you once and I'll say it again, "Don't fly too fast or there'll be things you'll never see again."
"What is it mother," Zippy questioned "Are you making some sort of suggestion?"
"You've lost your stripes little bee, Now can you see how you've displeased me."
Zippy's heart began to sink. Without his stripes he might as well be pink.
His mother smiled, "We'll get you a spare." Just be careful next time in the air.
