S: 147 Long Branch Drive - A Project of Love, Family and Patience (August -December 2011)

1: The more you laugh, the longer you live.

2: August 2011: The lot has been surveyed and staked. Scott and Jagger are surveying checking everything over before digging begins.

3: August 30, 2011: Mike & Scott begin installing the plumbing. Digging foundation begins.

11: Celebrating our Third Anniversary with our new hole in the ground and some champagne. August 30, 2011

15: Blocks for the basement and front porch.

18: And then it rained. . .

20: After the water was drained the remainder of the basement was completed (Sept. 2011)

27: Water proofing and back filling the lot.

30: The lot was backfilled - now we can see how our backyard will actually look.

31: Scott & Mike dug out the foundation to add plumbing for a potential third bathroom in the basement. It rained. . . a lot.

32: Initial Framing of the First Floor

34: The beginning of the garage and the first floor.

36: Scott and Jagger double-checking their first floor.

48: Oct. 2,2011 It rained for five days straight.

49: Scott sweeping water out the front door. There was over one foot of standing water in the basement.

51: Roof & Front Door installed - October 7, 2011

54: Second Story Foyer, Master Bedroom and second bedroom

55: Upstairs bedrooms, walk-in closet and bathrooms.

56: Outside view after the windows were installed. | Someone deposited a mattress and box spring in our dumpster. Ron used it to make a sign.

57: October 8, 2011 - Gables and Front Porch roofing complete.

58: Gas fireplace surround arrives.

59: Mike and Scott's hard work

64: Siding begins on the back side of the house - October 15,2011

65: Insulation begins - October 17, 2011

70: The beginning of the drywall and flooring.

73: Scott prepping the floors for the tile.

79: Beginning of the tile marathon.

81: The beginning of the exterior stone work.

82: The stairs before they are installed - lying on the garage floor.

84: Scott tiling himself into the living room.

87: Tile before the grout.

90: Scott applying grout.

92: Kitchen Arrives! (and Kara isn't home to see it)

95: Fireplace marble and mantle arrive! | Jagger tests out the new tile floors.

96: The bathrooms slowly coming together.

97: Trim work begins

98: Scott's shower masterpiece is finished! | The garbage disposal, kitchen sink and counters all come together.

100: Lighting, vanities and fixtures arrive!

102: Master bathroom and laundry basin.

103: Full bath

104: Foyer and upstairs hallway.

106: Dining Room (before hardwood)

107: Kitchen and Living Room

108: Living Room and Scott installing a vent in the mud room.

110: The beginning of the Scott and Jagger's first ever hardwood floor installation.

111: Flooring installed Friday, December 2.

113: Scott testing out his new nail gun.

115: Jagger got very comfortable without the carpeting.

116: Finished floor (Saturday, December 3)

117: We've got spindles!

118: Stainless Steel appliances arrive (Tuesday, December 6, 2011).

121: Jagger enjoying a freshly cleaned tile floor with his rawhide.

122: Upstairs carpeting arrives - one day late.

123: Shelving also arrives in all closets.

124: All bedrooms received carpet today (December 6) - still waiting on the hallway, stairs and main floor (it turned out to be a long wait).

126: Jagger was totally oblivious to the fact that we had no carpet. Scott and I were not as calm about it. At this point, the house is 100 percent complete, minus our flooring "issue."

129: We never thought it would happen, but the carpet actually arrived. Manufactured on Monday, December 12, installed on Friday, December 16.

130: Scott and Ron experimenting with the new fireplace on the new carpet during our final walk through.

131: Scott reflecting on our backyard of mud until spring.

132: Final touches to the house were completed - gutters, driveway, front walk and grating until the spring thaw.

134: We officially moved in on Wednesday, December 21, 2011.

137: Kara's Christmas in July paid off - the tree was up one day after we moved in. Complete with presents that were wrapped and hiding in the basement.

138: One day later, Scott put up the second Christmas tree. A six foot tall tree on the plant shelf in the foyer.

139: Jagger on Christmas morning - enjoying his new home.

143: Jagger soon identified his new favorite spot where he can keep an eye on everyone and everything.

145: The last day of 2011 - we survived week one on our new house. Now on to 2012 and all of the new memories still to be made in our new home!

146: Despite all of the chaos, we found time to visit Santa. He did bring us our new house by Christmas. We used the picture for our special Christmas/We've Moved Announcement.
