S: My Amazing 6th Grade Year!!

BC: I hope you have enjoyed a lookback on my 6th grade year here at Vogel Intermediate. This year was very fun!! (for me anyways)

FC: My Amazing 6th Grade Year!! | By: Brittany Navarro

This book is dedicated to all my friends that helped me get through the school year!

FRIENDS. My friends are mainly what helped me survive this school year. Without them I don't even know where I would be right now. My friends help me get through problems and any other issue i have.

My friends are what I live for!! :) Victoria, Lainey, and Baylee are my absolute, all time, best friends!!!!!! They are the BEST. Alot of people call us crazy and we absolutely are!!!!! Many people talk about us, but we could care less. We are always in our own little world. :))

HURRICANE IKE!!!! | Hurricane Ike was over-all very destructive. Many people lost cars, homes, electricity, and food. Ike ripped shingles off the roofs of houses, slammed trees into cars and houses, and tore down alot of power lines.

Ike was a very scary and fun experience for some people. | Many cars and homes were ripped up and destroyed. ALOT of people lost power for more than a week.

Spring Break!! Spring Break was very fun for me and my friend Tori. We switched out every night staying at each others house. We did and all nighter one of the nights and stayed up till 8:30 in the morning. One day we were really bored so we asked her mom to take us somewhere. We ended up going to Mountasia for the day. Tori, Hannah, Mason, Mr. Jeff, Mrs. Lisa, and I rode go-karts and bumper boats the whole time!! We had a BLAST!!!!!

The Best of Friends are what I live for!!!!

York!! The York Junior High campus is where I will be going to school next year. So our school took a field trip over to York to give us a sneak peek about what we will be doing next year. Victoria and I had fun on the tour because we knew the tour guide, Cole Rogers. I am excited to go to the new school next year.

The good thing about moving schools is that we get to choose four different electives if we passed all of our TAKS tests. My electives are theater, exploring technology, life management skills, and teen leadership.

TAKS!!! TAKS tests were the most boring parts of this school year. The math was the easiest for me and i got 95%. The reading was more harder but i got a better grade on it, 97%. Now, I am glad that TAKS tests are finally over and now the fun stuff has arrived!!

To get us ready for TAKS they had a TAKS pep rally that showed us a movie called KUNG FU PANDA. Now that TAKS is over.....we have the talent show, 6Th grade carnival and many more fun activities.

We placed 1st in the Rumble in the Park event held every season after the games. | SPORTS!! Sports are my life. Without sports my life would be boring! My 5th year playing softball, my team, The Panthers, placed 3rd in the league for Spring.

This Spring season softball at SMGSL was very exciting and fun. We only missed 2nd place by 2 points. We placed 3rd (out of 3 teams. Shhh but no one has to know that) and Chaos got 2nd, and Outlaws got 1st. I am looking forward to the next season of softball!!!!!!! :))

FIRE STIX! The Fire Stix are a new year round team for SMGSL. The coach is Coach McCoy and he is very hard working and gets tough on the team. Tournaments consist of 6-8 games a day during weekends. | Our first tournament we placed 3rd and got medals. The second tournament we all placed 2nd. We were at practice one Monday and Sam, Taylor, and I made up a team word and nicknames. The team word is "Skadoosh" and my nicknames are "SAS" and "Skadoosher".

The team and I are excited to go to the District tournament, then 2 weeks after that, the STATE tournament. We have 2 colors: Battle Red, and Bracket Blue. We wear blue on Saturdays and red on Sundays.

Puppy!!! After my softball season was over, my step-mom got me a wiener dog that me and my little brother named Hank. Hank is the sweetest little dog, and his favorite chew toy is a persons hair. Everytime someone tries to pick up Hank, he pees everywhere. Its kind of DISGUSTING!!!

My little brother, Logan, gave Hank a nickname. His nickname is Hankie Pankie. Hank is the cutest, sweetest, most energetic dog i know!!!! But that's why I love him!! He was named after the famous country singer, Hank Williams Jr.

STATE!!! The State Tournament is coming up in 2 weeks and the team and I are already pumped. The tournament is in Bryan/College Station and we are staying a hotel with the whole entire team and parents. We are all VERY VERY excited!!!!!! We are very much hoping that we will leave there with a 1st place trophy.

State tournament here we are!!!! BE AFRAID...BE VERY AFRAID!!!

TALENT SHOW!! The talent show is a very big event that many people look forward to. People from 5th and 6th grade show off their talent in front of EVERYONE on the whole school!! The talent show is held on the last day of school.

Many people try out for the talent show but unfortunately only a number of those people make it. Most of the talent show participants practice daily.
