S: 7 years of the Fabulous Decatur, Georgia Restaurant "FEAST"
1: Hey Everybody! I just wanted to let everybody know that I have decided to close the doors of Feast. After seven years of business, it has come time to say good-bye. Most of you know that I am battling breast cancer for the second time. Although I am very positive that I will kick this disease again, it has been difficult for me to stay as focused on the business as I should be. For the first time in my life, I am going to put my health first. | In addition, our sales have suffered with this challenging economy. It has been a difficult year, not only Feast, but for our customers as well. Although I have enjoyed seeing your friendly and supportive faces over the years, there just does not seem to be enough business to cover my expenses, much less make a profit. I appreciate the patronage that you have all given me. Most of you feel like family so this has been a very difficult decision. If it were not for all of you, I would not have been able to make it to seven years. There are so many memories of fun and happy times with you all. Just seeing the contented looks on your faces when you are enjoying yourselves has made this project so rewarding. It makes me sad to think that this will be the end. And those that know me know how much I love to throw a good party, so, with luck, I will be starting a catering company and I can bring the best elements of Feast to future events for you. I will send you an updated email with all of the information. | Robin and I want to invite you all to come in this week to say goodbye; Saturday, our last night, we will be celebrating our great run in the wonderful town of Decatur with a toast to our fantastic employees. We and our staff are very sad to have such a remarkable chapter of our lives come to its end. We hope that all of you will continue to eat out often and support your local restaurants. Peace & love, Teri February 22,2012
2: Lisa Garrett Price It's not the building, or the great food that my partner and I will miss. It's the people and the way they always made us feel special and welcomed....Like we belonged! Good Luck Teri; our hearts and prayers go with you. Millie and Lisa (7 year proud customers of Feast) | Maggie Marlowe So sad to read this Teri. But I know you will enjoy your next big adventure while doing what is best for your health. Without our health nothing else really matters does it? Stay strong and positive and I hope to see you very soon! Thank you for the 7 awesome and super fun years you gave us at Feast!
4: Ann Booth Deibel My family has so many good memories from Feast but if closing it is what is needed for you to fight this fight, so be it. My prayer for you is recovery. Teri, please take care of yourself! Not sure if you remember me, but I reviewed Feast not long after you opened for my column “Discover DeKalb” on a website called “GoDeKalb.” We’ve always enjoyed our time at Feast and wish you all the best! Denise
22: Parker Cross says Feast has been a supporter of the Decatur Wine Festival since the very first year we included food as part of the event. Always in the same spot, just on the south side of the Old Courthouse, just under the tree canopy. Thank you, Teri, for your generous advice about recruiting and engaging the restaurants in Decatur to make the most of their wine festival participation. I hope the new catering venture will participate as well. I’ll save the spot for you! Mary
