1: By Logan Boyle Assignment #5
2: Loreta Velazquez #1 | Confederate woman who joined the army after husband's death. Fought at Shiloh, Bull Run, and and Ball's Bluff. Went by the name of Lt. Harry T. Budford. Claimed to be a Union spy, but this can't be confirmed. | Capable of evading discovery and eluding both sides, thus making her the best spy.
3: Sarah Emma Edmonds #2 | Union woman who disguised herself as Frank Thompson and served in the Second Michigan Infantry. Deserted after catching malaria for fear her identity would be revealed. | Able to avoid detection for years, she was only discovered by choice. Ergo, she chose her fate.
4: Nancy Wake #3 | New Zealand born, she joined a resistance movement against Vichy France. Later joined SOE and became a Captain in FANY. | Participated in numerous operations that were vital to the war effort, and even managed to become a high-ranking officer.
5: Virgina Hall #4 | Born in Baltimore, she worked with both the OSS and SOE. Operated in Vichy France and helped train guerrilla fighters. | Much like Wake, she participated in many organizations. She manged to train civilians into a feared fighting force.
6: Elizabeth Van Lew # 5 | Union woman who was allowed to visit Union prisoners in Confederate camps. Used this ability to create a spy network for the Union, and created her own code. | While she was brave, she did not do anything that the other women were not capable of.
