1: Ramadan

2: Sunrise to sunset there is no eating, drinking or smoking for adults.

4: Reading the Qur'an from beginning to end in the month is encouraged.

5: Akikah (Birth Ceremony)

6: It may not be celebrated but if it is it's very informal

7: If it is celebrated it depends on the culture and country where they live. Most Muslims do not celebrate thought because birthdays are not celebrated.

8: Shahada (initiation) Happens around mid teens and is a formal entry into the religion.

9: The ceremony must be witnessed by a certain number of adult Muslims. This happens either at home or in a mosque.

10: There is not a big ceremony, but have a reception or waleenah that can take place anywhere. There will be no alcohol here. | Marriage | Sacred contract between the two people.

11: While the bride accepts the offering. | Witnesses watch the groom ask for marriage

12: Funerals

13: Straightforward like the marriage ritual.

14: There are prayers to the dead they are called janazah. There is a burial instead of the other option of cremation.

15: Other important holidays

16: Lailat ul-Qadr is when Muslims celebrate Muhammad's firs experience of divine revelation in the last ten days of Ramadan.

17: Id al-Fitr is right after the month long holiday of Ramadan, it lasts three days and there is usually a banquet and an exchange of gifts. | Id ul-Adha is taken place two to three months after Ramadan and is when the animals are slaughtered.

18: Al-Isra Wal Miraj is on the twenty-seventh day of the seventh month of the Islamic calendar. It is for Muhammad's supported journey from Mecca | Maulid al-Nabi is the celebration of the birth of Muhammad. Starts a week or two before and goes until the feast
