Jackie's parents | His parents were Jerry Robinson, a plantation farm worker, and Mallie, a domestic worker. There were five children in Jackie Robinson's family: Edgar, Frank, Mack, Willa Mae, and Jackie. Frank — his youngest brother's greatest fan — and Edgar are no longer alive, but Mack and Willa Mae still live in Pasadena, California.
Why I think Jackie is brave or a hero! | Jackie Robinson was the first black man to break the color barrier and he was the first black man to ever step foot on the field after the other teams threaten to kill him and dump him in a river and that takes guts!!
Words to describe Jackie | The two words I pick are daring and brave because he had the guts to go and TELL not ask but tell the baseball superintendent that he is going to play for this baseball team no matter what they say!!
Words to describe Jackie Robinson | Two words that I would use to describe Jackie Robinson is brave and determined. He was determined that he would play baseball for the Brooklyn dodgers. He was brave for playing on an all white baseball team.
Words to describe Jackie Robinson | Two words that I would use to describe Jackie Robinson is fearless because even though he was threatened to be killed he still stepped foot on the baseball field. Crazy- For thinking that he will make the slide into home base!

Born in Cairo,Georgia and resting in peace. Robinson
Dear journal | Dear journal, my Pops took me out to a ball game tonight. But we had to sit in different sections from the white people. Once we sat down everyone was looking at us like we were some kind of fugitives or monsters. My dad said ignore them and just watch the game but then I turned around and asked for a tissue and the lady yelled and called security and said that we tried to rob her. Then we got kicked out. When we were leaving, I asked Pappa why they were staring at us and he said because they are racist. I asked him why there weren't any black people playing and he said that they don't allow black people to play baseball. I whisper to myself, "One day I'm going to change history and I'm going to play for this team!!" "Don't you say that! Do you know what they will take from you?" pops said."They can't take much. I don't have a whole lot." "Yes you do, you have family and that's all you need." -Jackie
Dear Hero | Dear Hero, I am you're biggest fan. My name is Sierra Atkins and I have read all you're daughters books. I think you are a hero because you have determination and skill. You are the best baseball player, you are even better than Babe Ruth! I love how you would always hit at least three triples in one game! I chose you because you inspire me to make it to the bigs and play my heart out.
