FC: Ludovissy Insurance Fun day 2011
July 27, 2011 | Your host, Dave hopes you had a great day and your photographer, Nancy hopes you enjoy this book!
Welcome to Ludovissy Insurance Fun Day! This is a day when Dave brings an amazing group of insurance professionals together for one reason... To relax, enjoy and have fun!
Behind the Scenes Just as in any successful business endeavor, there must be a plan. Dave and his team of "expert" party planners are up for the task. The goals to be met are as follows: Physical Activity All inclusive Menu Plenty of liquids Private Bus Tour of the Country Sight seeing on the Mississippi River and Timmerman Motor Inn.
Everything was in place... The only thing now that needed to be done was the "stocking of the coolers" at Frentress Lake. Dave and a few of his "most trusted" crew would purchase the refreshments and deliver them to the Bonnet house boat. UNFORTUNATELY this is where things went terribly wrong! | SOMEONE, while opening the gate on the boat let Jazz out! OH MY GOD WHO LET THE DOG OUT?? WILL SHE BE OK? WILL LUDY FUN DAY BE CANCELLED? | I'm so out of here
This was certainly a tragedy for everyone.....except for Jazz, of course, who decided to have her own fun day! | She would hit Frentress Road and explore greener pastures...exciting adventures, dangerous situations and ODD attractions in East Dubuque. It was time for Jazz to learn about this town that her owners call home! | let's roll
I appeal to each and everyone here... Help bring Jazz back home!
Dave was beside himself. He had less than 12 hours before the "BIG" event. He sent everyone out to search for Jazz. | This would be a perfect chance for everyone to use their "connections". | She has two ears and 4 legs | Salt and pepper hair... No, longer than mine, smart ass | no there's not a reward!
Good News!! Troy just found out that Jazz was found safe & sound.......... | Rumor has it she was caught drinking beers, smoking cigars and passed out in a car on the bluff! Bad Dog Jazz!
Ludy was so relieved! | Steve and Barb were REALLY happy :) | The crowd raised their glasses and cheered. This party is on! | The crowd cheered! This party is back on!!
Everyone hugged and kissed when they heard the good news!
With a renewed faith in mankind... Dave loads up his clubs for the big day. He overcame an obstacle only to become stronger! CLEAR SKIES AHEAD... RIGHT? | Not a rain drop in sight guys. I always wanted to be a meteorologist | I | I could seriously use a beer
Are you sure you can drive a bus?
Tag your bag...... Check Name tag.......... Check Clubs loaded.......Check Meet and Greet... Check Ann made sure all the paper work was complete. All that's left is our traditional shot of root beer in tribute to our fallen comrades
Salute | We remember John Noonan and Bob Yadoff.
Dave expresses his gratitude to all the invited guests. Without a dedicated staff and clients who believe in them, there is no success, With that being said.... LETS ROLL!
Wendy is all about pleasing this crew! Looks like a Bloody Mary Morning
Oh No! It's time for the.... "picking of the golf teams". | Wendy catches up with the Bloody Mary orders | GOLF

This team got it going on... Drive for Show Putt for dough
Nothing like a hard day at the office!
Bus ride #3..... Off to Frentress Lake | It is essential to stay hydrated after golfing in the summer heat.
The wheels on the bus go round and round... the beers on the bus go down down down! | Thanks for taking care of my peeps Mr. Bus Driver! They can really be a handful!
Once again we are warmly welcomed by Steve and Barb Bonnet. It's time for our tour of the mighty Mississippi! | Please shut the gate
It looks like rain | It never rains on fun day!
I wonder what State Farm is doing today? | Who Cares!
We appreciate our captain | and his skipper.
 Take my picture
Updated Forecast | Stormy with a a chance of flooding | Just a few drops | Was that lightning? | We don't need storm claims
According to Joe Rett's radar, we have about 5 minutes to get to the bus!
Bus ride #.....whatever... | Jon encourages EVERYONE to do the wave
 Off to Timmerman's Motor Inn
...from the boat.. to the bus and to Timmermans...it rained and rained and rained and rained......... | and then...........it rained some more......
and it continued throughout the evening. | But...rain, wind and cold could not ruin this great day...In other words.. No one can rain on our parade! | Honey, I might be late | Moe Larry Curly
It rained so much that one of Joe Rett's dumpsters started to float away in Timmerman's parking lot!! | And where was his insurance agent? | I love you man

Dave reports golf scores... | Parting words and | rides home.!
It's time to say Good Night Tammy | Good Night Tammy | With the rain coming down, the beers running out and the food put away...
We step into the flood zone of East Dubuque. We are shocked at the magnitude of this rainfall and wonder also... Does Troy have relatives on the East Dubuque Volunteer Fire Department or is he moonlighting? Joanie searches the flats of East Dubuque to check for lost puppies or guests who might have strayed from our party.
And, of course, there is Rotten, our friendly weatherman, who, like the good captain of any ship, was one of the last to leave, mudsledding down the hill the following day to assess the damage and begin the process of assuring customers they are in good hands! | road closed bridge out
I think Rotten might be right for a change, "I don't think the hard stuff's coming down for quite a while."
At the end of the day a group of people who work hard everyday, enjoyed fellowship and fun. We enjoyed food and drink, sport and sunshine. We laughed a lot and made new connections. We toasted the past and welcomed the new. We all can agree that this day was a gift and well worth the hard work each put in to achieve fun through success.! Thanks Dave, THE END
