BC: The End
Life brings simple pleasures to us every day. It is up to us to make them wonderful memories. CathyAllen
I am so excited about the new invention called the light bulb. I don't have to buy anymore candles after they burn out. I also sold my horse and a couple of my clothes to buy that new invention called the car. A car gets me from place to place better than riding on a old horse. It has these things called wheels that make them move. Who ever came up with the invention of this fine transportation must be rich! My father also brought me this thing called a telephone. That invention lets you talk to friends and family without having to send letters or traveling to see them. All in all these wonderful inventions make my life much more easier.
I feel like people are drinking more because they know that they cant go to jail now for drinking alcohol. Every sense alcohol has been legal bootleggers have be acting funny. There mad because being a bootlegger was the only way they could make money.
I hate the south every because every white person thinks that they can take control of us. That is one of the reasons why I'm going up north. My mom says that going up north will be better for me and my sis. My mom also says that they have better education for me and my sis. I want to go to school so i can be something in life other then being bossed around by white men.
I was bored on day so I turned on the radio and i heard a song by a guy named Louis Armstrong. He was singing a song called "What A Wonderful World" and it was amazing. He has great lyrics and knows how to make a person feel good. I even went out to get his record. Now when I'm mad I just pop in his record and it makes me feel better.
Alt of people are losing their homes and I'm worried about if I might lose my mine. My dad claims that he is on a vacation from work. I think he is lying about the vacation because he doesn't want us to know about what happen. If my mom finds out he is going to be in very big trouble. Without Pa working we might lose everything we own.
A family is pieced together with hope and faith. A family is quilted and bound with love and grace.
