2009 in review Written by: Shannon | For Granny and Papa Merry Christmas 2009
All because two people fell in love
2009 was a big year... So many stepping stones happened for our family. One was Hunter graduated from 6th grade, and yes I cried remembering when......
Summer came and we dove into fun times...trips to Blue Springs, birthday parties and lots of outdoor fun, and a trip to Water Word. We also went to the World Series when it came to Ozark
Jake went on his first Ft. Gaines fishing trip with Heath and Brian. They had a great time even though Jake was the only that caught any fish
Soon the whole family was hooked even Hunter
One Sunday after church we went with Heath to the hunting land to see the peas, these are a few of the pictures I took. I was so proud of my pics, almost as proud as Heath was about his peas!
No matter where life takes you, remember you can always go home!
As summer drew to an end Hunter became an official teenager on Aug 1. We gave her a surprise party at Blue Springs.
Hunter started the 7th grade (high school) and loved it. She got involved right away into clubs and spirit days during homecoming week. I cried the first day as I watched her take a deep breath and put on her brave face as if to say watch out here I am! I smiled as tears rolled down my face remembering her first day of kindergarten... | that day she took the same breath and put on the same brave face to walk down the long hall to Mrs. Miller's class. Only this time she wasn't holding my hand, so I probably cried harder.
Jake started the 4th grade and pitch league baseball. He blew us all away by becoming the main pitcher for his team!
As summer turned into fall..Jake turned 10 at the end of Sept.and we celebrated with a skeet shoot party, that he designed himself!!
Huntin season came in and Jake killed his first coyote and bobcat. Hunter decided for the very first time she would like to try deer hunting, although I suspect she thinks she looks cute in the camo.
Jake decided to play football and even though he wanted to quit every day he stuck it out
As football season kicked off we found ourselves going to more varsity games for the Rebels and Purple Cats. We were there the night Rebels beat the Purple Cats in one of the best games I had seen since high school
Hunter had her first homecoming dance, and was so beautiful. I tried not to cry but I did, I tried not to be overprotective but I was.
As the days began to get shorter we celebrated more birthdays, spent time with family and had a screamin good time at the Peanut Festival.!

 HOLIDAYS OF 2009
Easter is always spent at Terry and Judy's, with a big egg hunt and the Easter Bunny as a surprise guest
Heath and I took the kids to Blue Springs for the 4th of July. It was a wonderful day and we had the best time watching them play
Thanksgiving has always been spent with the Hagler side of the family. I couldn't imagine anywhere else I'd rather be than Memaw and Pepaw's it always feels like home
