1: It's FUN to be ONE!

2: Micah dug right in to his own personal piece of cake, just like a good one year old ought to. Hard to believe our New Year's Baby is 1!



5: Micah had birthdays at Grammy's house and at Great Gma's 90th birthday party in Hutch.

6: The end of 2009, Amy entered a writing contest called Blog 2 Inspire at ecobabysteps.com. She wrote about breastfeeding little Emily. Her story touched the hearts of the judges and the readers and Amy won a 6 month writing contract that ran from January - June of 2010.

7: Mommy traded ad space for this cute little owl shirt from Mimi's Babies. It matched my orange FuzziBunz and my brown-striped BabyLegs perfectly!

8: Deer Camp 2010

9: Ty shot a button buck while hunting on his grandparent's land in January with Blake. | Jeff & Stephanie and their family were down to celebrate Christmas. We all went over to Uncle Steve's when Ty called to say he had shot a deer! We had the meat made into summer sausage.

10: Great Grandma turned 90 in January 2010. We all met at the Girl Scout cabin on the State Fairgrounds to celebrate!

11: Amy had just found out she was pregnant with Baby Roberts #7! | Grandma Minks & her cousin, Sheri catch up on family news.

13: That's right! The day little Micah turned 1 year old, Mommy & Daddy found out a new Roberts baby would be joining the troop come September! Everyone was thrilled! Mommy's morning sickness only lasted 12 weeks--very unusual--and Mommy got VERY big--very usual! | "I love my Mommy and my Daddy and my sisters and my brothers and... | The New Baby! | Who's in there?

15: Every year Blake & Ty head to Trapper's Rendezvous at Harvey Co. Park outside Newton, KS. It's cold weather camping at its finest! Blake works all year to find great items to trade just like the mountain men used to do. | Roger Darrow, Blake, Bob Goode | Blake, Lathan Grisham

16: Cowboy Keian turns 4!

17: Most of the time he's a cowboy, but sometimes he's a knight! {His favorite passage of Scripture is Ephesians 6.}

18: In February, Blake & Dad stayed the night in the Underground Salt Museum with Troop 281!

20: In February of 2010, our family helped with the relief effort after the earthquake in Haiti by filling food bags with an outreach program called Numana.

21: We all worked together as a family to fill, weigh, heat seal, and box up the meals that would be sent to Haiti along with the gospel message. | Keian was very scared by the aprons & hair nets, but when he saw how much fun we were having, he got dressed!

25: The Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, Kansas is a favorite museum for our family. Blake especially enjoys all it has to offer, so no surprise when he wanted to spend his birthday there!

28: Playing "DOG" with Granny The children were so enthralled by Granny's 2 yellow labs, they decided they wanted to be just like them! That's how the game of "Dog" got started! Now, it never fails...if Granny is around there are plenty of "dogs" there too!

34: Spring at Grandpa & Mimi's | cleaning out gutters

35: In the spring we painted the girls' room a light blue and put up a horse border. It looked so nice!

36: The Hillbillies gathered at Pleasant Hill Church of the Nazarene to commemorate their 100th anniversary. So many had moved away or passed away, but it was fun to get together again.

37: Melia loves to "fix" Mommy's hair!

42: Happy | Birthday | 70th | We celebrated Grandma's 70th birthday at Olive Garden.

43: ego | C | reation | Blake and Megan created this tower out of Legos. It had a windmill, a bell tower, a flag, and another flag hanging from the side. We had it displayed for quite a while before the little boys pieced it out for new creations.

45: We shared a garden with the Grishams & the Gazas. We planted, weeded, and tended, enjoying the fruits of our labor & the bounty of the harvest!

46: Micah's 1st Haircut! | We drove to Sylvia to have Lori Conrad at "What's the Buzz" cut Micah's hair for the first time. He did really well and looked like quite the little man when she was finished. March 2010 | "I'm outta here!"

48: Summer Time! We camped in the backyard. We took down the old swing set, we visited good friends, and we picked fruit. And of course, all of us were anticipating baby's arrival!

53: a fire in July! | We left Rifle & headed to the SavvyBlogging Conf in Breckenridge, CO. Dad & the kids played while Mommy blogged!

60: Granny's Birthday! | The Pate family was living with us so they joined in on the fun! | Granny enjoyed not baking her own cake since we bought her an ice cream cake.

62: Lia's 6th Birthday! | The birthday girl! | Lia and her cake. | Papa Greg's version of a party at his house.

63: Melia's presents were pajamas, a pink princess lamp, butterfly stickers, and her favorite fruit...... Blueberries!! | And, of course, a perfect birthday party couldn't end without money! | Blow that cake out!! Lia had a bit of help from sweet lil' Keian!

64: Friends Fellowship, and Caviar! | When Grisha Kirdyashev came home from a translating mission trip to Russia, he brought back caviar for Ty as promised. It was fun to try the little orange eggs on crackers, but they sure were salty!

65: Tutus and Tea The Roberts girls hosted the Grisham girls for a Tutus & Tea Party! We made tutus, drank tea, ate tasty treats, and danced!

66: Kansas State Fair 2010 | Blake's annual cheese curds --> | Mimi on the Ferris Wheel with Blake & Megan | Dad's annual ice cream | the Fun House! --> | Pride of Kansas building

67: We Love the State Fair! | On Mommy's due date, we went to the Fair! Blake & Megan went with Mimi & Papa while the littles stayed with Mommy & Daddy. We had a wonderful time, but Mommy ended paying the price with a trip to the hospital a few days later from complications due to being on her feet so long.

68: Former President Jimmy Carter | Ty was in Atlanta for PM3 training with the Boy Scouts. He decided to go to the Carter Presidential Library and lo and behold, Jimmy Carter was there! | <--- Secret Service

69: Buzz Carpenter | In November, Blake met Buzz Carpenter, the SR-71 Blackbird pilot, at the Kansas Cosmosphere. Granny graciously took Blake since Dad couldn't go with him, and Blake got his dad an autograph for a Christmas present! | James Oberg | In the Spring, we met author James Oberg at the Cosmosphere. He researches and explains unnexplained events in the sky.

70: Welcome Baby Garin Theodore | Sept 23 2:10 am 11 pounds 22 inches

72: We thought you were going to be a c-section... you had other ideas!

73: Lots of friends and family came by to meet Baby Garin. Even Dr. Lowden, who wasn't able to make it in time for his birth had to wait to meet him! Grandpa and Mimi brought fresh fruit, there were flowers, and lots of well-wishes. And poor Grammy, who was sick, had to sit by as patiently as she could without holding the newest Roberts baby.

74: Daddy chose your outfit (and bought you a bear), Blake left his customary announcement, we buckled you in and took you home. What a big day!

76: Baths were met with screams, yet baby must get clean after all that hard work of eating and sleeping! But all he wanted to do was swing! Besides, mom...boys are supposed to be dirty!

77: "What a ride!" Mommy wrote in your journal. And the ride didn't end when you came home. Colic & loving siblings & a busy schedule kept baby's days busy!

78: Miss Megan | She's "sissy" and "Meh-Meh," one of the bigs, and a wonderful helper to all. Her smile is sweet and her laughter is contagious!

79: It's a Luau! | In November, we decided to have a luau just for the fun of it! Blake gave a presentation, we ate Hawaiian pizza, and danced to Hawaiian music. Even Lemonade got in on the action!

80: Megan learns to ride! | and the little kids played with the Kraft's dog, Truman.

81: To celebrate 100 years of Scouting, the Boys Scouts offered Historical Merit Badges. Blake received all of these!

82: First Smiles... I think.

83: Let's have a campfire!

84: A visit to Great Grandma & Grandpa's house... | and Dad had to show Megan how it is done...

85: Autumn Cookies! One shopping day, in a moment of weakness, mommy bought orange frosting and autumn sprinkles and we spent the afternoon decorating cake mix cookies and eating them almost as quickly as we could decorate them! | Cake Mix Cookies 1 box cake mix 2 eggs 1/2 c. oil Combine. Drop on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 8-10 mins.

94: Farewell, | Quivira Council

95: The end of 2010 marked big changes for the Roberts family as Ty accepted the Assistant Scout Executive position with the Jayhawk Area Council in Topeka, Kansas. | The night we cleaned out Daddy's office, we played "Office" one last time in the back rooms of Quivira Council. And then we ate at a greasy spoon a couple of blocks from our house that we had never eaten at before to commemorate the end of our days in Wichita. It was both exciting and scary as we awaited the days of moving vans and a new city.

96: A New Tradition Gingerbread Houses | We used graham crackers, frosting, and candies to create our delectable treats!

97: Christmas with Yale | As often as we can, we invite Yale Murphy, our landlord from Sylvia, to join us at LaRee's house in Abbyville for some family time with "Grandpa" Yale.
