FC: The Watson Family 2011

1: New Year's Cruise | We spent New Year's on a cruise with the Carlins. We traveled to the Cayman Islands, Cozumel and Belize. We also were able to spend two days in Miami. The weather was warm and the sunshine was strong! | 2011

2: { | { | Matt & Sarah's Cotillion Ball | Mason King, Sam Buterbaugh, Kelsey Brown, Sarah, Holden Harrell, Hope Elizabeth Tyson, Matt, Jack Zeph | All Dressed Up

3: Matt and Sarah attended classes where they learned dancing and etiquette. The classes concluded with a formal ball held on Friday March 11, 2011.

4: We invited high school friends from Fuquay over for dinner one night. It was fun to catch up. Carla Ashworth Molnar, and Paige and Bo Black came over with their families. | Time with "old friends"

5: Girls trip to Washington DC We traveled to Washington DC to celebrate Melissa Green's 40th birthday with her. | Happy Birthday Melissa!!!

6: We celebrated Lew and Brian's birthday at mom and dad's house. | Mom grilled steaks and made a homemade chocolate sheet cake.

7: MAKING MEMORIES | Lew and the boys started hunting. They teamed with some friends and rented a piece of land to use.

8: Leigh Watson, Maria Triola, Paige Black, Susan Cokas, Beth Beam, Tiffany Harris | Prince played all of our favorites. We were treated to an encore after most of the RBC center emptied out. Prince came back out and played and we were able to get right beside the stage to watch! | "Purple Rain, Purple Rain...." | Prince Concert March 23, 2011

9: Flat Stanley March 11, 2010 Sarah prepared for 2 months for this production. | Sarah participated in a production of "Flat Stanley" with DRMT. She played "Callie/Assistant 1." This was her second performance with the theater.

10: This year for Easter, we celebrated with the Watsons and with the Ragans. The weekend included our annual egg hunt for the kids and a cookout. The weather was beautiful which made for a perfect night. | Easter 2011

11: EASTER | happy | Spring Time with the Watsons

12: Matt's Basketball Team | Matt played on a YMCA basketball team this season. Several games were really close. It was lots of fun to watch.

13: Sarah's Soccer Team | Sarah continued with her soccer team this spring. Lew helped coach the team along with three other neighborhood dads. Not sure who enjoyed the season more, the kids or the dads.

14: We spent a lot of time playing outdoors this spring. On this particular night the kids played frisbee with Abby and Lily. Matt and Sarah ended up with a severe case of poison ivy. | Luke | Sarah | Happy Spring

15: Matt | Abby & Lily | While looking through the camera we see moments we wouldn't want to miss.

16: Matt and Sarah's %5th grade graduation | Both Matt and Sarah were given awards for their elementary successes. | Forest Pines Drive Elementary School | Matt and Sarah's school was located in the neighborhood. They made lots of friends. Many of their friends will attend middle school with them. Next year they will go to Wakefield Middle School where Luke also attends.

17: Middle School here we come! | Matt receiving his award from Ms. Jones. He was awarded the Math award for his class. | Sarah was very involved at school. She was given many awards for all of her hard work. Her biggest award was the President's education award.

18: Alice in Wonderland!! Sarah's spring production at Durant Road Musical Theater | May 19-21, 2011 | Sarah played the part of the Cheshire Cat. This was her most challenging part with the theater thus far. Her part was the narrator and involved lots of lines to memorize. She was WONDERFUL.

19: Football Camp at UNC! | Luke spent a few days at UNC for football camp with several friends. The boys practiced all day and were served meals in the press box. They worked hard and loved every bit of it.

20: HAPPY BIRTHDAY | Sarah's party included cake, root beer floats, smores and of course lots of giggling girls.

21: Friends who came to celebrate with Sarah were... Cameron Ransome, Olivia Tseng, Kaitlyn Hickey, Mackenzie Green, and Kelsey Brown.

22: Matt is 11 years old!!

23: Both Matt and Sarah celebrated their birthday by having a sleepover party with their friends. | Matt's party included cake, a paint ball war and staying up until 4am.

24: Luke's Spring Baseball Team | Tommy Murray coached Luke's baseball team this season. They didn't win very many games but they had a great time and learned to love the game.

25: Take me out to the ballpark! | Matt's Spring Baseball Team | Matt's team had a successful season. They finished the season as the Season champs.

26: Welcome Sveta! | Raleigh

27: Sveta arrived on June 15 for her six week stay with us. | We have looked forward to our visit for an entire year!

28: Sue and Dan Leff invited us to go boating with them at Lake Gaston. While we were there we visited with Anne-Marie and Chris Sinclair and their family. | Lake Gaston

29: Life is better at the LAKE! | Happy Times

30: We gave Sveta her very own Ipod touch for her birthday. We hope she will be able to use it to communicate with her family living in Moscow. | Happy Birthday Sveta | The kids with Lew and I were so excited to give her gift to her.

31: Sveta with Veronika and Luda after a beach music concert at North Hills Mall. | Talking to Sergei and Sasha via skype. I told them to smile for a picture to send to their mom.

32: Linville Falls, NC

33: July 1st-3rd Our camping trip with the Gerald's, Lucas' and Triola's to Linville Campgroud

34: Fun, Sun and Surf | The Tucker's Place | Carolina Beach, NC | Luke, Sveta, Lauren, Harrison, Madeline, Declan, Ryan, Mackenzie and Jake

35: Amy Tucker took us to her beach house at Carolina Beach. It was a wonderful, relaxing time. | Luke and Sveta hung out with Lauren Hardwick and Harrison Tucker.

37: Washington DC | We chose Washington DC for our family vacation this year. We were able to tour the capitol and many other landmarks. The kids enjoyed seeing history come to life.

38: HAPPY BIRTHDAY | Luke | Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, VA

39: Luke was 14 on July 20. After our visit to Washington, we spent his birthday at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. He later said that it was his best birthday ever.

40: Dad | Eddie | Robert Edwin Ragan September 12, 1938 - August 1, 2011 | Poppy

42: This year our annual trip to the US Open in New York was September 1-4. We traveled with the Geralds, the Leffs, and the O'Ferrals. We had recommendations from a local friend of Jeff's and ended up finding some great local restaurants and shops. We spent two days watching tennis and two days in the city. | US Open 2011 - New York

43: While in NY, we were able to take in a Broadway Play, The Jersey Boys. We also visited the 9-11 memorial site as well as Wall Street. We ran into the Hardwicks and the McNamaras who were also visiting the US Open with their children.

44: Mom, Ann, Brenda, and I went to Savannah for the weekend. It was the weekend of dad's birthday and also mom and dad's anniversary. We knew that it would be a hard weekend so we planned a getaway trip so we could all be together. | Savannah, Georgia

45: One of the best places that we visited was the Crab Shack on Tybee Island. We also had a great time on the Riverboat dinner cruise down the Savannah River.

46: Wake Forest Titans

47: Matt played football on the PeeWee football team. Lew coached the team again this year. Matt loved having his dad as one of the coaches. He is a great football player!

48: Sarah cheered for the Jr. Midget football team. They qualified to compete at the Disney ESPN Center in Orlando Florida.

50: Wakefield Middle School Football | Luke's middle school football team finished their season ranked 2nd in the conference. It was fun to watch them win so many games. Congratulations on a great season!

52: give thanks | Our Thanksgiving Day lunch was a success this year. The weather was beautiful and we had enough food to feed everyone for 2 days!

53: Time with family is time well spent.

54: Disney World, Miami, Florida Our JM cheer team won the National Championship at the ESPN Wide World of Sports

55: We spent a lot of our free time visiting the Disney Parks. The group that we traveled with included Maddie Solomon, Kiele Girourd, Tori Elliott, Brook Byrd, and Julia Hickey.

56: An amazing day and an amazing experience. All 35 girls worked so hard to make their dreams come true.

57: The Wake Forest JM Cheer Titans are.... | Champions

58: Our Annual Watson Christmas party in Lenoir

61: Christmas at Grandma's | Grandma wanted to create new traditions at her new house this year. We invited her brother and sisters over and enjoyed a great family day.
