S: Civil War Memories
FC: A Walk To Remember . .
2: dear journal . . The money has just came in . I haven't seen any injured people yet. I'm getting my tools ready because I know this war is just going to be crazy. Gun shot wounds, intensive bleeding, open cuts .. Yea that’s what I'll be seeing in the next couple of days. Couple weeks ago I had to call back up for emergencies. Soldiers was almost gone . It kills me to see this sometimes. People just don’t get enough, everything could've been resolved by talking .
4: dear journal . . I got word of all this technology going on. From the submarines, to telegraphs and those observation balloons. They're making new things left and right. Observation balloons are made to spy on the South across from a distance. The submarines runs into something, the hook or string is attached to it, then it pulls it back and blows up. Man o' man , I'm going to be on a long shift tonight .
6: dear journal . . This battles are just chaotic. I had to help a doctor with one of the injured men on the battlefield. The Battles of Antietam had on-the-field-injuries. From the sound of this, you can tell this was just crazy. They were shot, flesh wounds, internal and external bleeding. This was just a sight to see. Made me sick to my stomach to see these people almost dead like this. Ugh , I wish I could just help everyone and stop this war.
8: dear journal . . The idea of African American soldiers joining the war is good. We need more soldiers everyday. To me, the color of your skin should not determine anything. Everyone is human and everyone looks different. Some people thought that this is a bad idea. There's rumors going around that the men may not be able to fight. My son told me about the Confederacy Law too .. And Negros taken into arms would be returned into slavery. Anyone caught in uniform they would be killed. Any white officers would be killed.
10: so many | Each memory we keep with care means future happiness to share.
11: LIVE WELL LAUGH OFTEN LOVE MUCH
12: dear journal . . I have $230.10 . I don’t appreciate my money being taken. I understand that the money was counterfeit and all but times is rough. Who would absolutely make counterfeit money? That’s just crazy to me. I need money to purchase more tools and to get where I'm going.
