S: My story book
FC: A YEAR IN REVIEW | my storybook
My Family My name is Charbel Gerges and i was born on the 7th of July 1998. I was born in Lebanon and I am living in Australia. I have two siblings, they are both 12 years old and we are triplets, i also have two parents my Jennifer and Albert. My brothers names are Elie and Alain. As a family we have went to a few places like Foster and Lebanon. We all get along with each other very well and we always help each other out.
I have many good friends and some of them are Joseph, John, Georgio, and Jean Pierre Karam. They all have good personalities and we all love football. We always get along with each other every day and have a great time together. :)
My interests I have many interests such as, listening to songs playing football and watching two and a half men. I love hearing songs because it makes me feel relaxed when i'm stressed or frustrated. I also love playing football because its one of my favourite hobbies and its a challenging sport.
I believe in God,Jesus Christ,Virgin Mary and I value religious icons like the cross. I believe and pray to God and these religious values because I have faith in God. Jesus is the light of my life and he will love me no matter what and he also sacrificed his life in order to save us from our sins. I also believe in the Virgin Mary because she is the mother of Jesus and she always protects us and looks after us.
One positive challenge in my life is when I had to make new friends in high school because it was so easy and its not hard to communicate with them. Another positive challenge is that when I moved to high school I made it into the basketball team and I was really happy i joined because we all help each other out and we have a good time playing this exciting sport. Also I was happy to achieve this goal because people will get to know my personality more better and know what are my interests.
One negative challenge in my life recently is, the step of being organised, I have to look after my books and I have to be on time for my classes. Also another negative challenge is the amount of homework I get because I have so many teachers in high school. I need to try to cope with the homework i'm getting daily by doing it on time. My final negative challenge is that I always forget to bring my keys to school so I can't get my textbooks for the periods i'm going to have on that day which is a bad thing because I can't learn without them.
5 coping strategies I would give a year 6 student coming from primary school to high school are , you must be very organised with your locker by setting them in order neatly, putting your keys in your bag every time you come from school so you can't forget it at home for the next day. Bring a spare key to school and give it to your year co-ordinator or give it to your parents just in case you lost or forgot to bring your key. A few more coping strategies is to always do your assignments and homework one week before its due so you could have enough time to finish the homework your going to get on the current week. Pack your things you need for tomorrows lessons one night before so you don't have to get them out of your locker that day because its usually crowded there. Also another really good tip is if you don't know how to make friends or if you don't know how to deal with bullies that incessantly and constantly bully you everyday, you could seek some support services. 5 support services I recommend you should see is the kids helpline, head space, kids health, school counsellor or a family member. You could speak to the kids helpline by calling 1800 55 1800, also you could find head space and kids health on their websites www.headspace.org.au, www.kidshealth.org. I have made these recommendations because they are the best support services you could seek if your trying to get help and they're really easy to talk to if your a shy person.
2 short term goals I want to achieve before the end of term 1 are, trying to get the top results in a few tests and getting good grades before the end of term 1. 1 intermediate goal I want to achieve is, getting a really good and successful mark in my half yearly test. | 2 long term goals I would like to achieve is, getting good results in NAPLAN and I would like to join a lot of rep sport teams especially football. I could reach all these goals by trying my hardest, never giving up and doing extra homework.
One change I would have to deal with in the next 5 years is puberty. Something I would have to do during puberty is keep my hygiene good. I would have to start putting deoderant everyday which I am not used to doing daily, also I would have to wash my face more often so I could reduce blackheads and pimples on my face. To prevent odour I need to put antipersperent deoderant, shower daily so I could smell good.
