3: Every year Emma's school has a stick horse rodeo for all of the kids. There are all kind of races and their very own stick horse. Emma named her horse Tinkerbell and has been riding her around our house ever since. | Cutest cowgirl in town
5: To get ready for Avery's arrival, we took Emma to Build-A-Bear to make a stuffed animal for her and for her new baby sister. Just like the last time she went, she was unsure of the machine that stuffs the animals, but loved brushing them and picking out clothes. She made a black bear for herself named Claire Bear and a little white bear for Avery that she named Anna Bear. It was fun watching her get excited about giving the bear to her new sister!

8: In March we decided that it was time for our almost 3-year-old girl to have her first haircut! She had just seen the movie Tangled and was scared of getting it cut because of how Rapunzel's hair got cut and changed colors. After many talks, we finally got her to the salon. Here is here hair before... (so pretty and long!)

12: Waiting for the Princesses to come out! | How can it be that we have a 3 year old girl?! We had a different birthday celebration this year. Since we were getting ready to welcome Avery to our family, we went to Disney Princesses on Ice instead of having a party. We had SO much with our Birthday Girl!
14: Avery Laine Henson April 15, 2011 12:00 p.m. 7 lbs. 2 oz | she is here
15: The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with JOY! -Psalm 126:3 | Miss Avery Laine Henson forever changed our family of three to a family of four in April. She came a little earlier than we expected, but her birth was just as miraculous and wonderful as her big sisters. When the doctor held Avery up over the blue curtain, we were overwhelmed by our love for our new little girl.

18: when | Emma | met | Avery | Emma spent the morning that Avery was born with the Wiley family. She came to the hospital that afternoon to meet her sister. She came decked out in her big sister shirt and tiara - perfectly Emma! Seeing her look at her sister for the first time took my breath away. Emma was so sweet and just wanted to hold her sister. She brought Avery the bear that she had made for her.
21: Coming home from the hospital | The nurse thought Avery was so cute in her little dress that she took her all around the maternity floor to show her off!

25: EASTER | happy | We stayed home for Avery's first Easter. Emma and Avery had an Easter egg hunt and looked at Easter baskets. These are the two cutest bunnies around!
27: This sums up Emma and Avery right now! Emma is so proud of her little sister and loves to play with her. Avery is not so sure about this loud little thing running around the house and poking at her all day. It is fun to watch and I know they will grow to be great friends!

40: We went to Estes Park to introduce Avery to Papa and Mema.
41: Emma started in Mrs. Lintelmann's class at Busy Bee preschool in the fall and loves every minute of school!

44: It has been fun taking the girls to the park. Avery and Emma both love the swings and it is so much fun watching them play together.
48: Trick or Treat | Emma wanted to be Izzy from Jake and the Neverland Pirates for Halloween. She was a beautiful pirate princess complete with fairy dust... and her very own parrot!
50: We went to trunk-or-treat and Boo at the Zoo this year. It was fun to see Emma really enjoy Halloween this year (and to have Avery along for the ride)!
52: We love Emma's preschool and all the events that they have for the kids. Emma really loved the fall festival this year (and got her face painted for the first time!)
53: The Thanksgiving Feast is SO cute! The class all dress as Pilgrims and Indians and make stone soup to share with their families. Grammy came down to join in the fun this year!
54: We went to Grand Lake with Nana and Bampa to celebrate Thanksgiving int he mountains!
56: 2011 | Having two little girls made Christmas twice as magical this year! We celebrated with both sides of the family, started new traditions and enjoyed time as a family - absolutely perfect!
