 2011 A YEAR IN REVIEW | live | laugh | love

Charleston, SC | Colin and I went to Beth and WIlliam's house in Charleston to celebrate the New Year. Michelle, Will and Katie came down from Charlotte. It was great spending the New Year with everyone!

On New Years Day we went downtown Charleston to tour the city. My leg was hurting and eventually started swelling. When I got back to the house I realized my leg had a purple/red color to it. I went to the emergency room where I was told I had a blood clot in my leg. I spent two nights in the hospital in Charleston, and they started me on blood thinners. | Emergency Room

Irmo Elementary February 2011 Colin went to visit my mom's third grade class. He told them about his time in Iraq and let the students try on some of his gear.

I LOVE YOU NOT ONLY FOR WHAT YOU ARE, BUT FOR WHO I AM WHEN I AM WITH YOU. | Colin and I traveled to Elizabeth City, NC for Chet and Kristin Fearon's wedding on March 19th. Colin and Chet were friends in middle school when they lived in Alaska.

Fun in the Sun! | One weekend Colin and I took Tucker to Hilton Head so he could experience the beach for the first time. He loved running around in the sand, but he was not a big fan of the water. He enjoyed digging in the sand looking for the crabs.

 Colin's Birthday

Count your life by smiles, not tears. Count your age by friends, not years. | We went to Clemson to see Zac Brown Band perform. On the way back to Savannah, we stopped in Columbia for a small celebration with my family.

Fort Pulaski | In May, Colin and I spent a day at Fort Pulaski near Tybee Island, Georgia. We toured the fort and walked around the grounds. We also walked a trail to get a better view of the lighthouse.

HAPPY 24 BIRTHDAY | Birthday Cards

I started my birthday weekend celebrating with friends at Texas Roadhouse in Savannah. For the rest of the weekend, Colin and I went to Charleston to celebrate at the lake with Beth and William.

Colin and I went to Cocoa Beach, Florida for our summer vacation. We stayed at the Double Tree Hotel. June 22-26

 Kennedy Space Center

While at Cocoa Beach, we spent a day at Kennedy Space Center. The shuttle was set to take off about 2 weeks after we were there.

Fourth of July | On July 3rd Colin and I met my mom and grandma in Charleston for the day. Grandma had never been to Charleston, so we showed her around the city. On Fourth of July we went to Fort Stewart with friends to see Zac Brown Band perform a free concert for the troops.

Clemson Football | Colin and I spent Columbus Day weekend in Clemson and went to a football game.

Beth and William October 22, 2011

On Sunday after the wedding, my parents hosted a Sip 'n See. Friends and family enjoyed spending time together while the newlyweds opened their gifts.

Colin, Zach, Caroline and I went to a Halloween party at their Battalion Commander's house. Colin dressed up as "Barth Vader" so I dressed up as Princess Leia. Zach and Caroline went as a football player and referee.

We celebrated Alida's birthday at Jaime's house | November 8

Beth, William, George, Colin and I celebrated Thanksgiving with my parents in Columbia. We had fried turkey and baked turkey and lots of food!

Family Is The Best Part Of Christmas

For Christmas Colin and I went to Williamsburg, Virginia to visit his parents. Brandon and Liz also came, so we had the whole family together! | Tucker's treat from | his grandma!

It was a rainy day, but we still had a great time touring Colonial Williamsburg, especially during the Christmas season.

VIRGINIA BEACH | While in Williamsburg, we took a short trip to Virginia Beach. It was a nice beach, but it was windy and cold.

Even though we didn't stay home for Christmas, we still put up a tree and decorated the apartment!
