BC: Robin & Sean the beginning...
FC: Robin & Sean
1: Hi! We are Sean and Robin, a young and fun-loving couple who would love more than anything to be parents. We consider ourselves to be an open and accepting couple who has always wanted children. 4 months after we met we had a conversation about adoption. Robin has always wanted to adopt and has embraced it for a long time. Sean, too, saw it as a possibility. Now, 5 years later, we get to start the JOURNEY. Some of our closest friends have adopted their children, so we have seen first-hand the greatness that it can bring. We are open to any level of openness: pictures, emails, visits. We’ll decide that together. We are also the proud parents of 2 canine children we rescued: a Golden Retriever and a Labrador Retriever mix. If our fondness for our dogs is any indication of the love and commitment we offer, know that your child will be endlessly ADORED and spoiled with affection. We know that you are probably feeling and thinking a million different things right now, so we appreciate and respect that you are considering an adoption plan for your baby. We know it was probably a huge decision for you to make and we don’t pretend to even understand what you’re going through right now. One thing is clear: you have a lot of love for your child. Thank you for choosing to learn about our happy family. We also hope to get to know you!
2: Who is Sean?, by Robin My husband Sean is AWESOME! He is hilarious and keeps me laughing until my stomach hurts almost every day. He is also cute, compassionate, and the most generous person I know. Sean is a family man who loves kids and longs for the day when he’s called ‘dad’. I have always said that he would make a fantastic father. He is also a great friend, not just to me but to all 300 contacts in his cell phone. He will offer to help anyone move, paint, tile, you name it - and they don’t even have to ask. I am sooo thankful to have Sean in my life. | LOVE | our getaway transportation after our wedding
3: About My Wife, by Sean My wife Robin is simply WONDERFUL! She is one of the most caring people I have ever known and always sees the best in everyone. She simply loves to laugh and spend time with family and friends. Her love for our dogs (‘our boys’) is only a small indication of the excellent mother she will be. The best thing I have had happen is to have my wife decide to spend the rest of her life with me. The only thing that could possibly top that would be for her to become a mother. For everything that she has done and will do in the future, I am thankful.
4: Our Passion for Others Robin: I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at a city hospital. I provide individual and family therapy to my patients, as well as education and SUPPORT. I help people access resources, like housing, Medicaid, Disability income, treatment centers, and much more. I love what I do (but I have a feeling motherhood will surpass this). Sean: I am a career Firefighter for a suburban department outside of Kansas City. In addition to fighting fires I also respond to a variety of calls, such as emergency medical (I am a licensed Emergency Medical Technician), hazardous materials, high angle rescue, and water rescue. I was promoted to a Driver 3 years ago and plan to continue advancing in my career. I ABSOLUTELY love what I do! | Coworkers & Friends | Sean's work visits a 3rd grade class each month and educates the kids on fire & life safety. They also give station tours to kids all the time.
5: Family Family is very important to us. Both of our parents have been HAPPILY married for over 35 years. They have set such remarkable examples of what marriage can be. As parents to us they laughed, loved, cheered on, taught, disciplined, guided, and so much more. Your baby will be shown all of those things, and more! Robin has 1 brother, Chris, who is getting married soon. He and his fiancé, Alli, are anxious to start their own family. We all look forward to having little ones running around during the holidays. Sean is an only child, who has lots of cousins, aunts, and uncles in the area. | Sean's parents, Jeff & Liz, and puppy Teddy | Robin's parents, Scottie & Wes
6: Our Quaint Home Home really is where the HEART is. Ours is filled with love and we look forward to sharing it with a child someday soon. We live in a wonderful neighborhood in a suburb of Kansas City. Schools, parks, and shopping centers are close by and there is never a shortage of kids playing on the sidewalks. We have a huge backyard that our dogs run around in. We already have the perfect spot for a swing-set picked out. We do hope to move into a bigger house in the next few years- hopefully in the same neighborhood though. | our boys, Quint & Gunther. "'Is it time for a treat?' | We enjoy spending time with the people in our lives who mean the most: family and friends.
7: Life with Baby When we are blessed with a baby, Robin plans to take off 3 months from work. After that her mom will provide childcare at our home when we are both at work. Fortunately, Sean’s unique work schedule allows him to be home many days. 3 of our parents are retired. They all live 10 minutes away and can’t wait for grandkids! When we were young our parents sat on the floor and played Legos with us, Chutes N’ Ladders, Monopoly, etc. They rode bikes and hit softballs to us. We can’t wait to do these same things. We want to play with our kids, go trick-or-treating, braid hair, TEACH them important things, and the list goes on. | Robin's mom with a friend's grandbaby... she reeaaally wants her own! | with friends' kids

We appreciate that you are selfless enough to choose life for your child and to possibly make our dreams come true. Whatever decision you make, you have to be comfortable with it. Should we be lucky enough to raise your child, know that he or she will have a secure life surrounded by TONS of love & laughter, and most importantly a knowledge of you! With Love, Robin & Sean
