Each child is a snowflake, each one unique, each one special, each one a gift from God. | Eating snow, throwing snow, rolling in the snow, laying in the snow...they do it all.
The kids are hoping the snow will last for a verrrry long time!
Happy First Birthday Benjamin!! Today we celebrated Ben's first birthday...it was a lot of fun, so many of Ben's family and friends were there to help him celebrate the day. He thoroughly enjoyed the "Baby Beluga" cake that Sandra made for him. | January 27, 2007
Swimming Lessons This is Levi's first year doing swimming lessons, and he's doing really well. He loves going and he's trying really hard. Jenna and Caleb are also doing excellent this past term..we might have to start calling them little fish. Jenna - Swim Kids 3 with Ross Caleb - Swim Kids 2 with Bradley Levi - Salamander with Adam#
 Our Aquarium
The kids always enjoy the Valentine's Day packages that Grandma Vi sends them every year. This year the candy was especially appreciated!
Each memory we keep with care means future happiness to share. | Ron and Jenna had a little Father/Daughter time on February 23. Ron took Jenna to paint some pottery and then they went out for pizza after. Jenna said the pizza was "yummy".
Happy 60th Mom!! | Live well Laugh often Love much | Mom is turning 60 on March 13th, so dad decided to throw her a surprise birthday party on the 10th. I was able to fly down to Edmonton and join the celebration.
A Visit with G & G Teichroew | Grandma & Grandpa Teichroew came over for a visit from Edmonton in March. As always, the kids had so much fun playing with them. It's so fun for me to watch them all play together. | Grandma & Grandpa drove to Burnaby, so they could pick up the kids and take them back to Edmonton for the rest of the week. Everyone, including Ron and me, was very excited. | March 16-24, 2007
Surprise! | Saturday March 17, 2007 was Sandra's 35th birthday and her friend , Deb, decided to throw her a surprise party. Everyone had so much fun...Deb made a delicious dinner and Mike picked out a super yummy cake. It's always so much fun to get together with friends.
Ice Cream at the Beach | It was such a beautiful day in Kelowna, we decided to go for a walk along the beach, along the boardwalk and through downtown. Ed treated us to some ice cream, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. We walked all the way to the bridge...by the time we got home, we were very tired. | April 6, 2007
Surprise! | Terry retired from her home care work at the end of March. Rachel organized a surprise party for her...and it was truly a surprise! It was so much fun to keep the secret from Ed and Terry and watch the looks on their faces as they realized what was happening. We (Rachel, Teresa and I) had thought it would be best not to tell Ed about the party as he would not be able to keep a secret from Terry! They were so happy and excited to see all their friends and family come and celebrate with them.
 The Party Continues...
Red is for the blood He gave, Green is for the grass He made, Yellow is for the sun so bright, Orange is for the edge of night. 20: Happy Birthday Ron!! Ron's birthday is on April 9th, but we weren't able to celebrate it until the 10th. The kids have so much fun giving Ron their gifts, and of course he plays it up for all he's worth! | Ron Turns 35
My 35th birthday is just a couple of weeks after Ron's, so it's like the party never ended...lots of fun! I had an excellent time with my family and it's always fun to see what the kids picked out for me. I made my own cake again this year, so I always get my favourite...CHOCOLATE! | Happy Birthday Starla!
Caleb and Levi BOTH got black eyes within a couple weeks of each other! Levi got his when he rolled over in bed and schmucked his eye on the bed railing. I thought it was quite ironic that the item that is supposed to keep him safe, gave him a black eye. Caleb got his black eye when someone's head, at recess, connected with his face! | OUCH! | May 4 & 25, 2007
A Little Dirt Never Hurt! | Every year we plant flowers for the front steps, and this year we picked out some beautiful ones. We planted them while Ron was away in Finland, so it was a surprise for him when he came home. | May 11, 2007
The Great Salmon Sendoff | Saturday, May 12 was the date of "The Great Salmon Sendoff" this year. Every year Stoney Creek Community School hosts a community event that releases thousands of Coho Salmon into Stoney Creek. As this even takes place at our school and is practically in our back yard...we attend every year. Unfortunately, this year because of Ron being away, and Soccer schedules, we didn't have time to release any fry. But the kids still had fun playing a couple games and Jenna sang in the choir.
A Mother's Treasures are her Children | Pastor Durwin asked what the kids liked about their mom; Levi answered, "I like my mom so much I made her a teapot!" | I am so blessed to be a mom, I don't think there is a better job in the world! For gifts this year, the kids all made me some- thing, and also bought me a book. | Mother's Day Brunch at the church.. | May 13, 2007
 Dad is Home!!
Ron has been away in Sweden for a long time...20 days! We were outside playing frisbee in the front yard, when Ron's taxi pulled up. He didn't even make it out of the car before the kids attacked him...it was so fun to watch. After hugs and kisses were done, we continued out game, but Ron was able to join in. He is missed tremendously when he's gone, but our family is complete again...until the next trip. | May 17, 2007
Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be. | May 21
Celebrating at Rocky Point Park | On our 13th wedding anniversary, we went to Rocky Point Park with Mike, Sandra and Ben Hustler. The kids had fun running around on the playground and then walking along the pier. Levi is going through a "posing for pictures" phase. It's so cute! | May 21
 Water Fight! | June 3
A Giant Leap This is Jenna's first year in gymnastics and she is really enjoying it. She is training at Club Aviva in Coquitlam. She is meeting a bunch of new friends and loving the skills she is learning! | June
What a Kick! | This is Caleb's first year taking Soccer and he has really enjoyed it. During regular season the U7 boys play indoors, but Spring League is outdoors. He loves to run so we had hoped this would be the sport for him, and so far it has worked out great! The league that we signed Caleb up with is Cliff Avenue United; they are a great team with really dedicated and talented coaches. Every once in a while we get some of the coaches from the Vancouver White Caps come out and train the kids. Caleb is really impressed when that happens! | June
 Father's Day | June 17
Piano Recital This is Caleb's first piano recital and Jenna's third, they both did really well. I am so proud of how hard they work practicing and it really showed tonight as they played their songs. They knew that they had done well and you could see the pride in their faces as they walked away from the piano. Linda Sclater, their teacher, is a great teacher. | June 18
Family Uncle Elmer was visiting from Swan River, MB, so Uncle Walter and Auntie Sharon brought him over to our house for a little visit. Even though he's blind, he learned his way around our house very quickly...he even managed to navigate his way around our back yard. One of Uncle Elmer's favourite things to do is play hymns on his harmonica, Levi joined right in with Jenna's harmonica and Uncle Elmer was happy to have someone to "play" with. | June 19
Royal Conservatory Piano Exam Grade 1 | Jenna played her piano exam on June 21, 2007; her exam was at the Shadbolt Center. We are so proud of her. She has worked really hard and received "First Class Honours"!
 Sport's Day! | June 22

Ron's mom and dad bought the kids a trampoline as joint birthday gifts for all of them. It was a little bit of work setting it up...but totally worth it in the end!! Fun Fun Fun!!! | Fun! | Fun! | Fun! | June 26
We went to Kelowna for a few days after school ended to visit Grandma and Grandpa Beselt, Aunie Rachel and Uncle Aaron, Erika, and Auntie Teresa and Uncle Joel, who drove up from Calgary. One day we went out on the water and just toodled around. There were too many people in the boat to waterski, but it was nice just to be out on the water. I don't think I applied enough sunscreen because a couple of us (Jenna's face and my legs) got a little bit pink. Then in the afternoon, we walked to the park at the bottom of the hill. Caleb had a lot of fun trying to push Grandma and Grandpa on the swing. The walk down to the park was nice because it was downhill...but after such a great day of playing...Levi found it a little tiring walking back.
A Hard Day at Play | June 29-July2
Oh Canada! | We went down to the Kelowna waterfront to celebrate Canada Day. There were a lot of people there, entertainers included! It was quite a warm day, so the kids cooled off in the waterpark. | July 1
Water Fight!!! | As if the kids hadn't gotten wet enough at the water park, they had to start a water gun fight once they got back to G & G house. Come to think of it though, maybe it was Uncle Joel that started it... | July 1
Memories | Our last day in Kelowna was July 2. Ed and Terry had sold their house and were preparing to move. They hadn't found a house to buy yet, so they were going to stay in an apartment in the mean-time. | We have many great memories in this house, but we will make many more memories in a new house!
Happy Birthday Ella! | July 7 | Ella is TWO! It is so hard to believe that she is two already. It it fun watching her grow and become her own little person.
Every year, our church, Hillside, hosts a picnic. It is always so much fun...lots of games...lots of laughs! | Picnic in the Park | July 8
While we were camping, we had a small birthday party for Levi. The Friesen's and Grandma & Grandpa brought their presents for him; he was very excited to open them here. Unfortunately it was raining again, a lot, so we all crammed into the covered area we had over the picnic table.
 Spahats Falls | July 19-23
 Jacob, Levi, Mattias, Derrick, Dylan
Levi's Four! We celebrated Levi's fourth birthday with his friends on July 28th. It was a really beautiful day so we got to play outside for the party. Jump the snake and What time is it Mr. Levi, were the favourites. Of course jumping on the trampoline and playing in the sandbox were big hits too! But I think the best part was the race car cake that Ron & I made...yummy!
