12: Marie was born on September 9, 1919 in Wilkenson county Mississippi and at the young age of nine, Marie and her family moved to Mangham, Louisiana where her father was employed as a principal with the local school system. After graduating from high school she attended the Louisiana Negro Normal and Industrial Institute, which is now Grambling State University. Marie received her professional teaching certificate and later received her Masters Degree at the University of Arkansas. Marie Moved back to Richland Parish and began teaching first and second grade at Mangham Elementary. In 1952, Marie married Mr. Curtis Hill and remained faithful and loyal until his death in 1975. Although no children were born to this union, Marie has graced the hearts and souls of young people throughout her 52 years of teaching, being a surrogate mother to many. At 92, Marie is still active member of her community. She continues to influence the members of her community. With her strong character, ethics, and integrity, she will always remain a role model to the residents of Richland Parish. | Maria Hill (Descendant of Nancy Baker Lyons)

13: Willie Katie Mies was born on November 9, 1921 to the parents of Carrie and Henry Johnson in Terrell, Texas. One summer day, her father, a carpenter decided that he would move his family to Mississippi. While living in Mississippi, Willie was baptized in the Church of God and Christ; even though her grandfather was a Baptist preacher. In 1937 Willie united with Walter Ward. To this union eleven children were born: Howard, Lagatha, Walter ( Duce), Helen, Betty, Brenda, Charles, Naomi, James, Robert and Anthony. Willie was a very strong woman. She worked hard caring for her family. She also worked hard in the church and was a lead soloist. After years of caring for her family, she decided to moved to Dallas. Willie later married Young Miles in 1961 and to this union Patricia Kate Miles completed the "dozen" six boys and six girls. Willie worked as a cook for Dallas School District for sixteen years. On the side she worked as a seamster. She made many bridesmaids, drill teams , and other groups dresses. Willie is an active member of the Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church. She is a proud member of the Women's Day Ministry. Willie has reached four scores and ten. Willie's children and grandchildren call her bless. 14: Johnnie Morris (Descendant of Willie Baker)

15: Ola B. McDowell the second child of ten born to the late Albert Baker Sr. and Beatrice Posey Baker on April 23, 1916. She was baptized at the age of eight in 1924, at the Mount Pleasant Baptist church under the leadership of Rev. David Tyson Sr. in Centreville Mississippi. Ola attended the Mt. Pleasant School under the guidance of Lizzanne Haynes as her teacher. At the age of eighteen Ola B. met and married the late Deacon Henry McDowell Sr. on her birthday, April 23, 1934. To this union one son was born, the late Henry McDowell Jr. Ola B. McDowell and her husband relocated to Chicago Illinois in 1956 where she was employed as a luggage inspector for twenty years at the luggage factory. After retiring in1976, Ola and her husband moved back home to Centreville Mississippi. They reunited with the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where she remains a faithful member. Returning to the workforce in 1977 at the Mississippi Power and Light Co., Ola B. McDowell devoted another 16 years of dedicated service. She also delivered meals to seniors.
