FC: Ryan and Alison
We are Ryan and Alison and we want to thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We would like to start by expressing our respect and admiration for your courage during this time. We cannot imagine the feelings you have or will experience in your decision to plan an adoption for your child. We are excited that you would consider us as loving parents and we pray that this book will give you a glimpse of who we are and who we hope to be as parents.
Ryan is 32 and has a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Economics, and is an executive project manager for a large technology corporation. He works 40 hours a week, and is able to work mostly from home. | He is an avid music fan, loves outdoor activities, and stays in shape by playing racquetball and taking daily walks with our two dogs, Dexter and Daisy. | Ryan
Alison is 32 and has a Master's Degree in Nutritional Sciences, and works as a Dietitian at a Native American clinic. Although she currently works 40 hours a week her goal is to work part-time to spend more time with her future children. | When not reading a good book or finding a new recipe to try, she loves spending time with her friends and family. | Alison
When I first met Ryan I knew he was someone special. I quickly learned that he is a man of unconditional love, loyalty, and patience. He makes laughter part of his everyday life. He is the person friends and family go to for advice or just to listen. He is never judgmental and always humble. Ryan is very close to his family. He talks to them often, making sure they always know just how much he loves them. He is dedicated at being successful in work, yet always puts family first. I am so thankful that God put him in my life. I love him dearly. | About Ryan by Alison
About Alison by Ryan | Alison is my world. She lights up any room she is in and everyone is drawn to her. She is amazing with children. At first she may appear serious, but as you get to know her a goofy side quickly emerges. Hearing her laugh makes me the happiest man in the world. She is very open-minded and is always there to listen when I have a problem or need someone to talk to. Alison has a little known secret that she has developed into the most amazing cook, and if I didn't have enough reasons to love her I have one more. She will be the best mother, and will make someone the luckiest kid in the world.
 Our Story
We met a couple of years after college through mutual friends, and have been inseparable ever since. After dating for two years, Ryan proposed in Eureka Springs. We renovated our first home during our engagement and married in November 2008. In preparation for starting a family, we chose to move to the suburbs in March 2010. Although we thought it couldn't be possible, we grow closer every day as we experience life's ups and downs. Throughout our relationship we have always known we have a greater purpose, and that is to become parents. After several years without success, we came to the decision that we wanted to adopt. This battle with infertility has strengthened our bond as partners in marriage. We look forward to this next chapter in our life...

My parents live less than 15 minutes away from our home. Our family has grown significantly over the years, and I now have 2 full sets of parents and 7 siblings. Even though my parents have remarried, they are still extremely close. | Ryan dancing with his mom at our wedding | The family at our wedding | Ryan's brother playing with the triplets | Ryan's Family

Alison's Family | I am very blessed to have loving parents who now live in our neighborhood. I talk to my mom daily, and my dad is always stopping by to help Ryan with projects around the house. They set such a wonderful example as parents. My older brother Jared lives with his wife and two kids only an hour away and we try to visit often. | Jared, Niki, Gaby, and Brooks | Cutting loose with my parents | Mom, Dad, and Jared at his wedding
 Nieces and Nephews
Between us we have 7 nieces and nephews (all under 5 years old) and enjoy spending as much time as possible with them. Ryan's sister has 2 year old triplets that have given us loads of experience!
 The Neighborhood
We live in a great kid- friendly neighborhood that is designed for families and includes a swimming pool, fishing pond, splash pad, playground and walking trails. We have a neighborhood 4th of July children's parade and fireworks display, Halloween hayrides, Easter Egg hunts, and outdoor movie nights.
We built our home 3 years ago, and it has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large playroom upstairs, and an over-sized, fenced backyard to play in. We are just minutes away from our church and the elementary school. | Our Home
The kitchen where we cook many meals for friends and family | Ryan hard at work with office colleague Daisy :)
These are our 5 year old dogs Dexter and Daisy. Dexter is the typical boxer, and is very outgoing and loves children. Daisy is a little more reserved and is the sweetest, most gentle natured dog in the world. They are ready for kids almost as much as we are =) | The Pups
 Dexter | Daisy
Not only do we have a great family, we have the most amazing friends as well. They truly care about us and are always there when we need them.
Holidays | We do holidays big, partly due to our large family size. Almost all of our relatives live within a couple of hours from us. One of Ryan's favorite traditions is the family football games at Thanksgiving. When it's too cold for football, we take the fun inside with a big game of Bunko with the entire family. The addition of the triplets adds a little additional chaos to the mix and a lot of entertainment.
Going Clockwise... Santa Fe with parents, Cabo San Lucas, Taos, Pacific Coast Highway, Cape May, Snowboarding, Puerto Rico, San Francisco
We love to travel, and can't wait to take your child with us on family vacations. Ryan had an internship at Walt Disney World in college and is looking forward to the day he can return with kids of our own. | Vacationing
Thank You! | We are so excited about the possibility of sharing our life with your precious child and hope this book has given you a glimpse of what that life would be like with us. Our goal is to show you our home is warm and happy and will always be a place of love and encouragement. We will give everything we have to provide a safe, nurturing, and loving environment for your child. Sincerely, Ryan and Alison
We finally got the phone call we had been waiting for! A 3-week old baby boy was in need of a forever home. Born at 28 weeks and very tiny at 2 lbs 12oz. He was going to need a lot of tender loving care. We rushed to St. Louis Children's hospital excited and nervous to meet our little boy. It was truly the best days of our lives! For three weeks Ryan and I stayed in St. Louis to be close to him, our soon-to-be-son. We spent hours at the hospital, singing, reading, and cuddling with him. After three weeks he was able to come home. He was quite popular at the hospital and everyone was sad to see him go but so excited for him too. Our baby boy quickly settled in and on July 3rd, 2013 officially became part of our family! | Our Happy Ending
