52: Good friends

54: To my precious friend Frances, I will never forget the first time I met you. It was at the Thousand Trails Campgrounds in Morgan Hill, California. We were kindred spirits from the very beginning. We only had one problem...we couldn't understand each other. You and all your "funny kiwi" talk and me with my ridiculous "Okie" accent and cliche's. Boy, "we were a pair to draw to" (that is a poker term for all you Kiwi's). I was a new Christian, and you were so mature in the Lord. I know that God sent | you straight from heaven to help me survive California and the Papa family (ha). The first time we prayed together it blew me away. I thought I was in the very presence of God himself, and I wanted to know how to pray like that. I will always be grateful to you; you taught me so many things. For the next eight years I was blessed with a wonderful friend sent by God. We had so many exciting adventures together. Do you remember the apple picking trip and all that apple sauce we made? I think it was coming out our ears before we finished. AND THEN, you moved back to New Zealand. I was devastated! But, I praise you for your courage. You are the bravest woman I know. And, how God has honored and blessed you for your faithfulness. You raised four beautiful, well adjusted, self-sufficient adult children. You go girl! You are still my precious friend. There are only a few thousand miles that separate us, but you are always close at heart---I love you Frances. Blessings to you on your very special day. Hugs and Kisses, Shirley

55: Dear Mom, You have made it with grace and style to 60. No one could have done it better. God blessed me when he chose you for my mom and I see that blessing extending to our kids. What a magnificent Grammie you are. Have a wonderful day, and let us all truly honor you for the impact you have made on so many lives! I love you Love Tracey | Dear Mum, Nikki & I constantly reflect on how lucky we are to have you in our lives. We heed your advice and try and follow your example in so many ways. You are an amazing role model. We are excited about our future with you being such an integral figure in our lives. Have a wonderful birthday. Love Richard Dear Mum, I feel honoured to have been loved and cared for by you. Thank you for being the woman I aspire to be. Wishing you all the best this 60th birthday. Wish we could have been there. Love you heaps Emily
