Jack's favorite was her stuffed veal breast. Mom's beef soup and homemade dumplings was the best.

This was Mom's favorite bible verse PSALM 23 The Lord is my shepherd;I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul:. he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil: my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Mom's Favorite Hymn: How Great Thou Art

In Memory of Mary Kozak Our Mother, Saint Mary Today we are gathered here in God's presence to celebrate the life of Mary, Our Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. I did not say Mother-in-law, because mom loved Bob, Marie, Lydia, Tony and me as one of her own. She loved us as her sons and daughters, Kathy, John, Alan, Billy and Vicki. She gave all of us love, compassion, strength and our faith. We were not in-laws, we were her children. When I came into this family 40yrs ago I was 16. Mom opened her arms and her heart to me. Loving her was so easy; it came so naturally, without hesitation. She touched my very soul. Mom had something about her, everyone who knew her just loved her.

The Kozak family has been the closest family I have ever known. Family is very important to all of them. This was instilled in them from their Mother "Mary, St Mary" as Billy always called her. To them she was a saint. God gave her to us to cherish, and believe me she was and always will be. When you think of an angel, thats her. All 12 of her grandchildren have been dedicated to her, everyone made time for her. There could be no other "Grammie" or as Jarrod called her "Big Grandma". The loved poured out to her from all of them so unconditionally, because she was a gift from heaven. On Sundays when we would congregate at her house in the basement to have coffee and some of her delicious baked goods. The grandchildren were always hoping that Grandma would bake their favorite.

Everyone loved her cupcakes, Krepe, pie dough cookies with the drizzle icing and especially her homemade Ice Tea, no one could make it like her, believe me I tried. Steve and Sam always said, " It's not as good as grandmas." Let's not forget her chocolate chip cookies. the kids favorite time was baking them with her after school and eating the cookie dough. As the years went by the grandchildren got older, married, and had children of their own. "Grammie" was still an important part of their lives. Always visiting and calling her, telling her stories about their own children, making her laugh. Mom loved being able to have this time with all of them, especially the stories. Mom would always let the next visitor know what was going on with the family, nothing passed her by. Just ask Grandma, she knows.

Mom's life with us of 92 years was surely not enough, we all wanted and needed more time, we just couldn't get enough of her. Kathy, Jack, Alan, Billy and Vicki had spent the last couple of years taking care of her, spending the day with her, watching her favorite show on TV, telling stories, or just falling asleep. The quality time had given all of them peace and contentment. They were there to make sure she was loved and cared for. But we all knew that she was ready to meet their father, Michael, at the gates of Heaven, she told us he was waiting for her. During the last days, I realized that Mom was an Angel (but I always knew that)she surrounded us with love, protection, faith, goodness, guiding our hearts to the best we could be and to follow our faith in God.

Angels carry messages from Heaven to Earth, and God was the one who gave us Our Mother, our Angel on earth. Now she is in Heaven to receive her wings. Before Mom entered into the Kingdom of God she whispered to me, " I'm passing my wings on to my family , just know they are transparent, but you'll know they are there." I still feel her presence this very moment. I feel comforted that even thou she is gone in body, her spirit lives within all of us. It warms my heart to know that our families will still have her hands holding us together and her watchful eye keeping us safe and the whispering sounds of her angel wings lifting us up when we're sad. We will share this memory of her Life, and we all will embrace that moment with love and grace. We have been blessed to have this wonderful woman as our Mother, and our Grandmother.

Now that Moms life on earth has ended, she will experience eternal life with God and walk hand in hand with Pop. We must look with our hearts and not with our eyes and we will see and feel the angel surrounding us at every moment with her touch and love, and feel the breeze of her wings when the wind blows. In closing, I would like to say to Mom, not Goodbye, but the words she said to each of us. So Mom I say to you: "Love you and God Bless"

What do you see? Angels! Now believe with your heart, not your eyes

This "Memory Book" is dedicated to Our Mother who touched our hearts and souls in everything we do in our lives. We miss you Mom. So Everyone remember to: Open your Hearts and BELIEVE Because she is still with us watching , protecting and loving us
