We believe in supporting one another throughout our lives. | Love We have a core relationship based on loving greatly and deeply. We look forward to providing for this child. | Family Our family is our priority. We accept differences, support learning, love openly & deeply, laugh often, listen, & celebrate one another. Our family is where life begins and love never ends.
When I saw you I fell in love, and you smiled because you knew. -William Shakespeare
 Our Journey
Happiness is a journey not a destination. | Our Lives
Dear Expectant Parents, Hello and thank you for allowing us to share more about ourselves. We are a fun-loving couple who are prepared to offer a child a nurturing home and unconditional love. We have been happily married for four years and making memories together for 10. With our goal to adopt we envision making forts out of blankets and playing make-believe. We look forward to learning along side our child during school projects. We hope for family sing-a-longs and dance parties in the house as our dog bounces around equally excited. We are unable to biologically have children but believe in growing our family with the addition of a newborn. We hope throughout these pages you will enjoy learning more about our lives and our strong desire to welcome your child into our lives and provide unconditional life-long love in growing our family.
Who we are together? We met while we both lived in Oregon and eventually lifted roots and began an adventure in Washington State. We found love to one another grown out of friendship through our similarities and differences. We come together for projects around our house or yard and openly communicate and brainstorm together. We enjoy sharing tasks of preparing meals together. We create local adventures within the Seattle area. Try new restaurants, play trivia in the evenings, and touring areas. We aim to make memories in our daily events by making each other a priority. Greg's son, Jake is with us on school breaks as he remains throughout the year with his mom in Oregon. Jake is a fun-loving 13 year old who enjoys acting in local plays, video games, reading, adventures with Mulligan (our dog), and exploring. We laugh, remain goofy, learn, read, and love exploring off the beaten path. We love being together and are excited to grow our family even greater!
Our Home Our home is within 20 minutes of Seattle. We live in a large diverse neighborhood with many children. The neighborhood is connected to a large set of parks with basketball courts, tennis, baseball diamond, and climbing toys. Our home is just under 2500 square feet with plenty of room for our family. We have a family room both downstairs and up. We designed our floor plan to be open and allowing everyone to be aware and involved. Upstairs is equipped with a castle, technology center, and many family board games. Julie enjoys gardening and we attempt to grow much of our own vegetables during the summer months. Our yard is fenced and full of space for many adventures and a land of make-believe. We often have music playing, Greg playing guitar, or fun conversations throughout our home. We love our home and the comforts it provides as a safe and inviting place.
Adoption in our lives We believe in nurturing, love, honesty guidance and support. We believe in fostering a future leader who is creative, kind, independent, and speaks up for what is right. We will keep her close to us teaching our values of education, family, and spirituality. We will teach him of other cultures, laughter, how to be creative, and have respect. We have flexible careers and work within 7 minutes of our home. We are surrounded by our families, excellent schools, and a strong community with much available for growth and development. We are both employed within public education and have many vacations and breaks to allow us to bond, travel, and attend local events. We hope you enjoy learning more about us through our words and pictures! | Warmest regards, Julie & Greg
I was raised in many different places throughout my childhood as my father was in the Air Force and was stationed at different bases around the country and world. I love music and play with other school administrators in a band that covers all sorts of music. I am one of the singers and guitar players. I love traveling and experiencing new places and new cultures. Fitness (running, biking, yoga, etc.) is very important to me and I try very hard to make time in my day for regular exercise. I love my son Jakob and work very hard to be a parent to him and provide him love, support, and guidance. I work as a School Administrator and I absolutely love my job. I enjoy high school students and the energy they bring to each day. | Who is Greg?
I was raised throughout the United States but predominantly in the Northwest. Throughout schooling I've been involved in varied athletics and upon college graduation coached several high school athletic programs. I love to travel and explore both near and far. I enjoy growing from experiences in other cultures. I believe in physically fitness Whether it is going for runs outdoors or at the gym, yoga, gardening, or just local parks with our dog; I love fresh air and remaining active. I love animals! Particularly furry dogs, though growing up I had varied animals including a hedgehog, hamsters, fish, and even as a child attempted CPR to save a lizard. I work in mental health within public schools. I consider my role supporting the hearts of students to provide balance to the challenges of growing up so they can access their education. | Who is Julie?
We are blessed in our every day lives... | More about us captured through a lens | My mom and I at Thanksgiving. Greg and I are fortunate as both of our parents are within 4 hours of our home. | Greg, Jake, and I at Disneyland. When we first enjoyed this picture we asked Jake about his "look". He explained it is his 'Jedi face'. | Mulligan is not a sled dog. In the rare moment of receiving 10 inches of snow we walked our neighborhood and tried to invite Mulligan to pull Jake on the sled. She wasn't amused. | Big Foot? Photo opportunity with Big Foot on our way to Leavenworth
Blanket dog. Sometimes no blanket will do besides a living dog blanket to join in on Saturday morning cartoons. | Small pony or dog? When Mully was much smaller I thought it cute to teach her to run through legs. I outgrew that enjoyment... she didn't. So, as I return from work each day this is our routine. | Halloween spirit. Working in education is fun and allows the spirit to stay young. Greg and I dressed up for Halloween one year. | Jake the photographer! On our family adventure to Yellowstone Jake is practicing his amateur photographer skills!

Secret Missions. We've held a special tradition to complete secret missions each time Jake is with us. These are silly adventures with costumes (capes, PJ's, goofy hats, etc.) where we complete random fun acts. Past examples include leaving presents of flowers or cookies on another's front porch or buying donuts for Greg's staff and sneaking them into his school before staff arrive. As Jake's grown he now creates an iTunes playlist to be played as we are on our "mission" and really enjoys adding movie soundtracks such as the theme from Mission Impossible.
We promise to love your child with everything we can, and give all that we can give.
We wish you strength in finding the best possible home for your child. If you have any questions or would like to contact us please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org Thankfully yours, Julie & Greg
