BC: Thank you...
FC: Meet KIP & KODY
1: Hi. We are Kip and Kody. First of all, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for picking this book up and deciding to get to know us. We are so grateful that you have chosen to give your baby life. We can't even begin to imagine what you must be going through at this time. We admire you for your strength and courage for making these plans for your baby, for the love and sacrifice you are giving this special child. Please know that we are praying for you, even as you read this book, though you don't know us yet. Thank you for considering us as an adoptive family for your baby.

3: Scoop on Kip | GREGARIOUS. That’s the word which describes Kip. The moment you meet him, you will know what a great guy he is! He is very funny and kind, loving and caring. With him, there will always be lots of laughs and lots of music. I think a sense of humor, a joyful and grateful heart can go a long way in this life, don’t you? He has this special ability to make me smile even when things are difficult and lighten a situation. He’s very smart and knows a lot of things. I like when he shares his knowledge of history, politics and meteorology. He is a man of God and of integrity, and a hard-working man. He also never gives up on something worth seeking. I love that about him. I think he will be a great Dad. He will help your baby experience unconditional love as an earthly Father who loves them and help point them to a Heavenly Father who loves them.
4: Kody will be a terrific Mom. I know this because I watch the way she interacts with the kids in our Sunday School class. I see the way they come to her for hugs and advice and how she relates to them in a sweet way. They see that she is fun and enjoys to laugh, but she is also serious about them getting to know the Lord. Kody has excellent personal qualities that will help her be a great Mom: she is patient and kind, caring, loving, prayerful and tender-hearted. She is sacrificial which I think is one of her greatest qualities. She is able to put off fun things now because down the road there will be a payoff for working hard! What a terrific trait for someone raising a child! That child will learn to pray every night before bedtime, and learn how much he or she is loved by God and their Mommy and Daddy. | Scoop on Kody

6: We met at a Singles Retreat at our church in Illinois. We had so much fun with each other surrounded by so many great friends. | "When it comes right down to it, we just enjoy each other's company and enjoy being together." | We moved to North Carolina and got married there. We had a beautiful and fun-filled wedding with guests from all over.
7: "I believe a leaf of grass is no less than the journey work of the stars." Walt Whitman | "Jesus was our guest of honor."
8: 10 Reasons Why We Think We Would Be A Great Family to Your Baby | We will raise your baby to know the love and grace of the Lord. | We will give your baby a loving and stable home. | Every child should have a Mom and Dad who loves and cares for them. | We want to celebrate special moments, have lots of laughter and family togetherness. | Our diverse church family will serve as a source of love and acceptance.
9: We have a great support system; local friends and families who have also started families recently. We know many friends who have already adopted, who were adopted and also who are pediatricians and nurses. Our family is close by. | And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 | We want to pass along our grateful experiences of growing up in two different cultures. | The Lord is calling us and guiding us. | The child will be surrounded by warmth and care and provision

15: We have a big yard - plenty of room to romp. It is full of flowers most of the time. Kody grows some vegetables and herbs too. We have 3 bedrooms, a den, a living room and a dining room. The baby’s bedroom is a sunny and bright room. Our home is a home that is committed to love, a home that was prayed over when we purchased so that we can show God’s love to others. A home for a child to live and grow in abundant love. | We have a big yard party every summer enjoyed by family, friends and neighbors.
16: A new command I give you: Love one another. John 13: 34 | Our Community | Our Annual Yard Party | Our community is a diverse one. We are active with a big church where people of all walks of life, age and ethnic backgrounds gather. Our church is big, but has a small church feel. We have a few groups of close friends within and outside of the church. We like to bring these friends, family and neighbors together once a year for fun and games with good music provided by our nephew's band. This close-knit community includes many families with kids, babies born to couples in our age group and several adoptive families, so the baby will have plenty of playmates.

She has the ability to speak with them in such a sweet way, in their own language yet at the same time, as their teacher with authority." - Kip
