S: Emily & Matt
FC: Emily & Matt
1: Here we are with our black female lab, Fisher. She is about five years old. We adopted her from a shelter when she was a little over a year. I love to take her for long walks; usually twice a day.
2: There is no prefect way to describe my husband to you, he is the love of my life, my best friend, and one whom I look up to. I would like to share a verse with you that comes to my mind when I think about him. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. James 3:17 Matt’s heart is so kind, he cares for the Lord more than anything else. He works harder than anyone I know to provide for us as a family. I am so grateful to have him as my husband. Matt loves adventure - always wanting to experience new things and he is never afraid to try anything. When you are speaking with him, you are given his full attention. Matt is also one who loves to learn, wanting to know how and why things work. He is a man of many talents and strengths, one who is not afraid to be humble. Matt is respected at his place of work and in our community of friends. He is the one that people will call when they need help with something---and he will help with anything. Matt enjoys building furniture and woodworking, fixing things, playing softball and basketball, biking, hiking, fishing, camping, and gardening. He is a “foodie”, he also enjoys hanging out with family and friends, being involved in our church and small group, reading, and seeing movies. He is an all-around people person and one whom you would want to be around and spend time with.
3: Emily is way out of my league but since 2008 I have been so blessed to have her as my wife. She is one of the most loving, thoughtful, caring, disciplined, humble, organized, and selfless women that I know. The Bible is right when it says; “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD” (Proverbs 18:22). I undoubtedly have received so much favor from the Lord and one way that this is displayed is in the woman that married me. Emily loves to stay active. Every morning she is starting her day out swimming or running well before most people are awake. She enjoys hiking and biking around our beautiful state, especially when our dog Fisher gets to go too. Emily loves people. Some people get drained by being around others but this is one area where Emily gets recharged. She loves to engage and invest in the lives of people. She can be found multiple times a week visiting with women at local coffee shops. Emily loves the Lord. Daily Emily will be found studying her Bible and praying, making sure she is continually dependent upon her relationship with the Lord. I have been so blessed by the Lord to have Emily in my life and I am so excited to see her flourish into the mother she was designed to be.
