6: Ancestor Biography | I have decided to write my ancestor biography over my grandfather, John D. Baker. I wanted to write about my grandfather because I know him very well and find his life interesting. My grandfather is 67 years old. He has lived in Kentucky all of his life. My Grandfather went to elementary and middle school but did not finish high school. He did not find school interesting and never went back, because of that his father made him get a full time job. His full time job paid him enough to help his family out. After a few years of helping out his family he then decided he wanted to help his country. My grandfather served years as a marine officer. After he served his years as an officer he became a truck driver. He then met his wife Carol, my grandmother. They had three boys together. My

7: grandfather loves his family more than anything. My grandfather then lost his wife from cancer (1992). I was not alive at the time but I can feel his pain because I was not lucky enough to meet my grandmother. My Grandfather is a very strong man. When his wife died he did not show sadness, but happiness to know that his wife was finally at peace. I really appreciate that because it shows that he can make the most saddest times into a good thing. Years later my grandfather retired. Now he still lives in Louisville in the same house he had with Carol. | He now has 9 grandchildren 1 great grandchild. I am very thankful to have him as my grandfather because he is loving, caring, and a great person.

8: When I was from about a toddler to my younger teen years my dad, brother, sisters, mom, and I would spend our summer vacation together on Lake Nolin. This memory growing up was one of my favorites because my family and I could escape from the city and enjoy ourselves on our boat. On the Lake it was always peaceful and beautiful and always a fun time. I would always be excited for the 2 and half hour car ride there but never back. I appreciate what my parents did for us as kids because it really showed how much family time together meant to me and everyone else. This Memory has affected me in a good way. It has inspired me to spend as much time as I can with my family because

9: you never know when they could be gone. This memory has impacted me to go camping at Lake Nolin when I have children of my own with my future husband.
