S: Warrant Officer Candidate School May-June, 2010

FC: Warrant Officer Candidate School Class 10-17 May 24 - June 29, 2010 Fort Rucker, Alabama

1: Sean's group CW3 Noerr was the group leader and TAC (Training-Advising-Counseling) Officer

2: In-Processing

3: Sean | Sean

4: In the "Grove" | Formations and push-ups... | Sean

5: Reception, classes and Marching!

6: Living quarters

7: Beds have to made to exact specifications.

8: The hallways and rooms had to be in perfect order. Clothes and socks in their exact place. | The Discrepancy Cards had to be perfect, too. The TACofficers checked them every day.

9: The Class rock - unpainted Warrant Officer insignia painted on the road! Standing in the rain.

10: Changing the class colors from gray to GREEN! Primary TAC Officer Mr. Floyd presented the class with their color! The class motto is "Pounding the Way, Sir!" | The Class can change the tabs on their uniforms from gray to green. The rock can be painted. The Class will complete the "Hanging of the Hat" in the Dining Area.

12: "Hanging of the Hat" The WOCs present the hat accompanied by songs that they wrote, describing each of the TAC officers. | "Hanging of the Hat" The candidates present the hat accompanied by songs that they wrote, describing each of the TAC officers. Then........


14: PT During the morning run, the group ran through the Burger King Drive-up!!

15: Weapons Simulator | Classes & Briefings | Sean

16: WOC Olympics | The "Green Machine" won the Tug of War! TAC Officer Floyd awards them the streamer for their flag! | WOC Olympics

18: The candidates were flown to the field for Leader's Reaction Course (LRC) and Field Leadership Exercise (FLX) by Chinook student pilots from Ft. Rucker.

22: Some of the soldiers posed as the bad guys during the training exercise.

23: The march back to base was long and hot! | The troops were greeted with applause and handshakes when they returned. | Senior Pinning after FLX!

24: Trip to Andersonville Civil War Village and Prison A deer jumps through the tombstones!!

26: Class Community Project in New Brockton, AL. | Sean !

27: Each class paints Sergeant Ted E. Bear. Class 10-17 painted him as Captain America! The class also posted the saying on the sign for the 4th of July!

28: The Victory Run!!!!! | As Sean's group completes their Victory Run - the last one as candidates - they are saluted! Completion of this course is a great accomplishment!

29: Ringing the graduation bell at the end of the Victory Run!

30: Sean could spend the day with us! | We had lunch at the Mellow Mushroom! We had eaten here when Scott graduated. | The helicopter at Fort Rucker's entrance | We visited the Aviation Museum at Fort Rucker! | Family Day

31: Black Hawk | Chinook

32: The museum has over 160 military aircraft, including the largest collection of military helicopters in the world | There are about 50 restored aircraft too. The propellers are made of beautiful pieces of wood. Its amazing that some of these actually flew!

35: The oldest and youngest WOC use a sword to cut the class cake.

36: Appointment Ceremony

37: Class 2010-17 takes their Warrant Officer Oath. Lisa and I pinned Sean's bars on each of his shoulders. Sean - we are so proud of your accomplishment! You are truly our HERO!!

38: Sean made the Commandant's List!

39: Warrant Officer Sean Kimmle!!
