S: The Stinson summer album 2011!
FC: The summer of | July & August 2011
 Happy Canada Day!
This summer I could not keep Audrey out of the pool! She LOVED going down the slide and "nimming" We had the little pool up on the deck and the big one down on the grass. The kids would run from one end of the yard and jump in. Tanner practiced using his goggles to see underwater and got really good at holding his breath. Next summer we need an even bigger pool!
 Nia Elsye Haustein
The good news is that Audrey loves to wear her panties...too bad it's on her head! In out attempt to potty train we bought her new Dora panties that she loves...but not enough to wear them on the right area of her body! She spent most of the summer naked! We tried bribing her with smarties but here she is feeding them to her dog!
Our maiden voyage in our new truck and tent trailer! We spent the first night at the Holiday Inn in Drayton Valley before setting off on our Jasper camping adventure!
LIFE IS A JOURNEY, NOT A DESTINATION. | RALPH WALDO EMERSON | July 15th, 2011
A GRAND ADVENTURE IS ABOUT TO BEGIN | WINNIE THE POOH
 ~ Home sweet home ~ | Whistler's Campground Site 67H
around the campground | We love this place! The playground was far away from our campsite and that is the only thing we would change. We all enjoyed exploring the pathways and it was so peaceful and quiet. Nothing beats the scenery! ....the free and clean showers were a bonus for Mom!
Sunwapta Falls | The falls were beautiful and the kids were so good on the hike. Even after some other hikers warned us they spotted a bear near the lower falls. We made lots of noise and saw no sign of him though!
Getting Back To Nature | “I see my path, but I don't know where it leads. Not knowing where I'm going is what inspires me to travel it.” ~Rosalia de Castro
Always a New Adventure | Athabasca River
Athabasca Falls There really are no words to express the beauty of this place. Even amongst all the tourists there was no denying the awesome power of the falls. The kids...and I had a blast climbing on all the rock formations and exploring the area.
Mount Kerskelin overlooking the Athabasca Falls
The Meeting of the Waters Where the whirlpool and Athabasca Rivers meet | A beautiful, serene spot to dip our tired feet in the cool mountain water
THIS TRAILER IS AWESOME!! | What can I say...the weather on this trip was a little wet...technology was our friend!
A lot of walking for already tired little legs! The canyon walk has a lot of stairs and the kids were such troopers! Dad took the little ones back while Taylor and I went for a longer walk. Along the way we saw the beautiful Lace Falls and also saw a couple of people meditating on the rocks in the river. | Maligne Canyon | Lace falls | ICE CREAM!
wildlife | in our campsite! | I was walking back from the washroom one morning and this mother elk and her calf were just wandering through the campsite!
 ...and MORE wildlife!
 Fireside Fun | 'smores!
Jasper | We had one particularly wet and cold day and to top it off Audrey was up all night puking. We had an easy morning hanging out at the trailer then came into Jasper. We spent the afternoon at the rec centre and the kids could not get enough of the waterslide! After, we treated ourselves to dinner out!
Mount Edith Cavell This was quite the hike over rocky terrain and was very cold too! It was worth it though! The Angel Glacier is beautiful and we even got to see and hear it calve! It sounded like thunder!
We deserve a break after that trek! After our hike to the glaciers we enjoyed a nice picnic. The kids all crashed on the ride back to the campground!
Boating Beauties! All the kids just loved the boat this summer. Audrey enjoyed her tube ride as long as it was nice and slow. Tanner even went for a swim in the lake this year. As always we couldn't drag Taylor off the tube! She spent a ton of time tubing and kneeboarding!
 Summer fun!
 DAY AT THE
Because of all the snow and rain this year the beach was a big, mushy, puddle. Audrey spent a lot of time playing in the mini lakes all over the beach. Hours of fun....and hours of scrubbing the sand from her new bathing suit too...
This summer on our visit to 'Ol Mac's we ran into Tanner's best friend Nolan from playschool. Even though they barely remember each other we had to take a pic! Audrey got to hold baby Nia for the first time and Tyrel introduced the kids to the escaping pony! It's hilarious to watch Austin tool around the campground in Lightening!
Always a great time at the Jungle Farm
Discovery Canyon | Everyone had fun going down the water slides but there were some sore bums afterward! The water is not quite deep enough for a smooth ride! This was Audrey's first trip and she preferred to ride with Tay!
Like branches on a tree, we all grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one
this little girl will find any way to CREATE! | Anywhere and anyhow....
Picasso, Monet, Michelangelo, and next: AUDREY!
Good times are even better when shared with
"Friends are Flowers that Never Fade"
Red Deer Spray park...The kids were more interested in the workout area across from the spray park! They were hilarious! I wish we had these in Lacombe!
 August 9th, 2011
On this beautiful summer day we met up with my old friend Glenda and her four kids at Rotary Park in Red Deer. Afterwards we rode our bikes to Kin Kanyon to cool off in the fountain. The water was a little cool for Audrey! Next a ride over to the store for a refreshing snack to ready us for the bike ride back!
We really got up close and personal with the animals! This porcupine was so chatty when the keepers kicked her out to clean her cage. Who knew they could talk?! We really enjoyed the bear presentations too and now watch for our local bears in movies and TV commercials! | Discovery Wildlife centre
 August 23rd, 2011
Riverview Campground | Rocky Mountain House Aug 26th-29th | This campground was very spread out and didn't have much in the way of amenities but the location on the North Saskatchewan River was beautiful. Most of the sites were in an open area and not private but we were tucked off in a corner by ourselves in site 224. It was far from the outhouse and the playground but we had our own kitty. He reminded us of OJ...except he was friendly! He came every time the kids called him and we almost took him home with us!
