We are so pleased that you have chosen to read our profile. We admire you so much for the courage it takes to put your child's best interest first. You are such a wonderful mother to make an adoption plan for your baby. It is the love that you have for your child that will unite us as a family and allow us to become parents. We will always be grateful to you for this decision. What a wonderful gift you are giving to all of us! We will always be honest with your child about the adoption plan that you so lovingly made. They will always be told that they are extra special because they are loved by two sets of parents. We would be happy to stay in contact with you and would love to exchange pictures and letters with updates about the baby. We can never imagine how difficult it is for you to choose a family for your child. Thank you for considering us as potential parents. We hope that you get to know more about us while reading our profile. We have dreamed of having a baby for a long time, but after two years of trying on our own, as well as help from doctors, we were never able to have our dream of a baby come true. Through our struggle to have children, we are now even more committed to becoming parents. We are hoping that adoption will be the way for us to start our family! We can promise you that your child will be the center of our lives. We have such a fun and happy life together and we have had so many great opportunities and adventures. We have an abundance of love in our home and would be overjoyed to share all of these things with a child of our own. - Jay & Melanie
About Us . . . | Jay grew up on his family's ranch in Montana. After graduating from college in 2001, he moved to Texas and works as an engineer for an oil and gas company. Melanie has lived in Texas since the 1st grade. Because of Jays great job, we are fortunate that Melanie does not have to work. She will be a stay-at-home mom, the way we were both raised. She spends her time cooking, baking, visiting with family, shopping, and taking care of our home.
We met on Valentines Day 2003, which was on a Friday. Our first date was the very next day. We went to dinner and a movie. I had Melanie pick the movie, and she chose "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days". I thought that was an interesting choice for our first date! Needless to say, we had such a good time that we went on our second date to a hockey game on Sunday. A year and a half later, we were married. Since we met over eight years ago, we have grown closer to each other every day and can't wait to see what the next chapter in our lives brings. | Snow in Montana | On vacation in Aruba

We own a four bedroom house located in a wooded, golf-course community. There are two water parks in the neighborhood just for kids. On Fridays in the summer, we have community movies and music in the park. There's a Fall Festival in October and snow is brought in for the children to enjoy one weekend in December. The neighborhood is full of many young families with children. | Welcome to Our Home | One of our neighborhood water parks
We have two empty bedrooms that we can't wait to decorate for a baby. One will be used as a nursery and we will make the other a fun playroom just for our child to enjoy. We are excited to customize these rooms into warm and unique spaces for a little one. | Melanie in our kitchen taking a cake out of the oven | S'mores in the Backyard
We LOVE to travel! Jay gets a generous amount of vacation time and we're able to take at least two beach vacations and two trips to his parents ranch in Montana every year. We have made it a tradition to go to the Blanco River for a long weekend every summer. We hope to instill an adventurous spirit and a passion to explore new places in our child. We look forward to seeing the excitement in our child's eyes as they experience new corners of the world for the first time.

Holidays have always been special to us. We love celebrating with family and friends. Every year we switch spending Thanksgiving and Christmas between Texas and Montana. It's so fun to be able to enjoy the holidays both in the warmth and the snow. We're looking forward to making new traditions as a family of three.
How We Spend Our Time . . . Melanie loves to cook meals at home and come up with healthier ways to make desserts. It will be so special to have a little helper in the kitchen cooking with her! She has dinner ready every night when Jay comes home. We make it a priority to sit down and eat together as a family. We focus on activities we can do together. After dinner every night, we go on a long run or walk on the trails around our neighborhood. We plan to buy a jogging stroller to take our baby with us. It will be a fun way to spend family time together and be outdoors! On the weekends we enjoy taking long drives, going to the movies, visiting and cooking out with our family, seeing plays at the theaters downtown, and trying new restaurants. During the summer, we love going to our neighborhood pool and to the beach. In the fall we enjoy going to local festivals, holiday shows, and football games. We look forward to taking our sweet little one along for the fun. | Underwater in Mexico

Both of our families are important to us and are extremely excited for the possibility of having a new baby to shower with love! Jay's parents live on a ranch in Montana where he grew up. We fly back there to visit at least twice a year and cherish the time we are able to spend with them. His parents have very kind hearts and are fun to be around. He has one older brother named Justin who lives in Oregon with his wife and a younger brother named Jon who lives in California. Melanie's parents live within 30 minutes of us, as well as three of her four sisters (Melanie and her twin sister Brooke are the youngest). We spend a great deal of time getting together with them and their husbands for family dinners, birthday parties, and holidays. We are especially close with Brooke and her husband and often take weekend trips together. Melanie's oldest sister lives in Alabama and has two boys. Her middle sister Sarah, also has two little boys, Declan who is six and Dylan who is three. These boys are so much fun to be around and spending time with them makes us want children even more. Both of them have said that they are excited to have a new cousin to play with!

I always wanted to devote myself to taking care of my family. I never had dreams of having a career outside of my home. Being a wife and a mother has always been the vision I had for my life. After meeting my husband Jay, and watching him with our nephews and other kids, I knew he would make a great dad. I've never known someone as loving, kind, and generous as he is. He is extremely hard working and as a result is very successful in his career, which allows me to stay at home. Jay is a wonderful provider for our family and I am so thankful and proud to be able to say he is my husband. I often daydream about our family and the children we will have in our home. I can picture baking cookies, playing in the backyard, riding bikes, and our first family vacation. I can guarantee our child will be lucky to have Jay as their dad! My life only gets better each day with him and I can't wait to see what the future holds. | What Melanie wants you to know . . . .
Melanie has the kindest heart out of everyone I know. She puts others before herself and asks for nothing in return. I knew from our first date that she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. She makes me laugh with her funny stories. She unconditionally loves our nephews and I know she can't wait to nurture and love our own child. Whenever I'm feeling sad, Melanie is always there with a kind word that warms me up like a ray of sunshine. She naturally knows how to be a mom and care for others. I can't imagine anyone else in my life. Our home is filled with love and laughter. We want a family so that we can pass on our love, values, and traditions. We both come from loving families and are excited to start our own. | What Jay wants you to know . . . .
Our Promise . . . We don't know how to ever express our gratitude and appreciation to you for bringing such overflowing joy into our lives. Being parents and having a child is what we want more than anything. A child is the greatest gift in the world and to you we will always be indebted. Saying "thank you" simply will never be enough. The only way we know how to make you understand how grateful we are to you is to make you a promise. We can promise to always be a constant source of love, advice, understanding and guidance to our child. We will always protect our child and make sure that they will never want for anything. We will provide them with the best education possible. We will cheer for all of their accomplishments and be a shoulder to lean on in times of disappointment. Your child will be the center of our world and we will always remind them of how much love, strength, and courage it took for you to make an adoption plan for them. You will never be forgotten and we will always hold a special place for you in our hearts. Sincerely, - Jay & Melanie
