DENNIS RODMAN - Page Text Content

“Chemistry is a class you take in high school or college, where you figure out two plus two is 10, or something”-Dennis Rodman. Dennis Rodman, it is nearly impossible to describe this man. A few words I would use are insane, loud, and possibly a freak in many peoples eyes. Despite his appearance he changed basketball forever with his appearance and style of play.

To begin Dennis Rodman looked just like you would not expect a NBA basket ball player to look like. He had all the wacky hair color and his odd smile. He played for the Detroit Pistons during the 1986–1993 season and for the Chicago Bulls during the 1995–96 season. Those were his most important teams that he played for. Weighing two hundred and twenty pounds and standing six foot six inches he was average in the NBA for his size. He played forward in basket ball games. His career points were 6,683 he had 11,954 rebounds and had 1,600 assists.

Another way that Dennis Rodman is a rebel is his way of showing how bad he is, he tattooed his chest and back and goes out to society appearing in many articles of clothing not suited for society. In many ways he is impacting the minds of many to act and be just like him by dressing and being that outrageous. For example, for his autobiography picture he appeared in a wedding dress, he violently strikes the opposing team in a basketball games, and he was unfaithful to his wife by cheating on Maddona.

And in his free time from basketball Dennis was a professional wrestler, he was in the now and he fought wrestling champions like Hulk Hogan at two Bash at the Beach events, he also had his own T.V. show called The Rodman World Tour, and he starred in two action films Simon Sez and Double Team alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme. The movies eventually won his two Razzie Awards, and he won the first ever Celebrity Wrestling Tournament.

“Death has always had a prominent place in my mind. There are times when I think somebody might kill me”-Dennis Rodman. He was a rebel in the way that he appeared. He showed people that he didn’t care what they thought about him, he would just do what he liked. In many ways he changed basketball not only in his rebellious looks but in his physical play and style. He may not have been the best basketball player in the NBA but he definitely left his mark on the game.
