It was a normal busy day at the San Diego Zoo. Destiny the tiger was sleeping on a rock. And guests at the zoo were just looking at her and saying she looked so precious and cute because she was only two years old.
“Hey, guess what Lauren!?” “What Destiny?” “ My mom said that we could have sleepover together!”( They lived in separate zoo exhibits) “ Really!? When is it going to be?” “Ummm I don’t know yet..” “Ok but I need to know by tomorrow ok?” Lauren said anxiously. “Yeah, you’ll definitely know by tomorrow.” Answered Destiny kind of quiet.
It was night now and the zoo was closed again for the day. Destiny, instead of waiting in the den for Lauren, she went all the way to the fake little creek and hid behind the rock that she naps on. Lauren made it over the wall and went to the den and saw that Destiny wasn’t there. “Haha my plan is working.” Lauren yelled for Destiny but just couldn’t find her. So she went back over the wall to her exibit.
It was morning at breakfast again and Lauren saw Destiny. Lauren walked over to her. “Destiny, why were'nt you in the den for the sleepover or anywhere in your exibit?” “Huuuh, Lauren, there was no sleepover.” “What are you talking about!? You said we were allowed to have a sleepover last night. Lauren said surprised. “What I meant to say is, it was a lie.”Destiny said with a sigh. “Oh.” Lauren said sadly. “And I’m sorry, I don’t know what I was thinking. It was a cruel joke that I shouldn’t of done. Do you forgive me?” “Yeah I guess. But why would you make something up like that?” “I wanted you to think that I was cool for having planning a sleepover.” “You already are cool no matter what because you’re my best friend.” “Oh, thanks!” Destiny said happily. The two tigers made up and were best friends again. Then they actually had a sleepover too the next night.
It was the next day again and they had breakfast and Lauren went home.
