FC: Nathan Hale by Cali

1: Nathan Hale was born on June 6, 1755 in Coventry, Connecticut. He had 13 other family members. When he was 14,he went to collage. Hale was smart and graduated in 2 years with a Yale degree. All his life, he wanted to become a teacher. He eventually did.

2: Nathan Hale loved his country and wanted to set it free from British restrictions. He eventually joined the matlita, and then the army. He worked as a spy for George Washington.

3: Nathan rose to the rank of commander, then captain to New York City on April 30, 1776.

4: Hale dressed and assumed the role of a Dutch school teacher and wandered enemy territory, determined to bring back information to General Washington. He was a risk taker because he spied, a dangerous thing, for you were hanged if you spied.

5: Nathan Hale died on September 22,1776. He was 21 years old. He was hung, as punishment for spying. Nathan's last words were "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country."
