Dear Sue, Thanks for your many years of caring, calm, and rational leadership. I especially enjoy your creativity whether it be seen in problem solving or in your beautiful watercolors. You’ve had that rare gift of blending clinical and people skills that make you such an effective leader. Thanks too for being a wonderful mentor, coach and supporter. We’ve all benefited from your show of patience during trying situations. Best wishes for a well-deserved break. I know that you won’t really be “retiring” from much really. Don

 Ireland Sept'10

Sue, I will miss having you as my manager but will warmly remember the conviction with which you lead and the confidence you had in your team. Giving me a role within this amazing group and supporting my move to Ireland has provided opportunities for both professional and personal growth for which I will forever be grateful. Your blend of acumen and grace has been and will continue to serve as my inspiration and source of encouragement. Wishing you health, happiness and great adventures as you enter this next phase of your life. May the best be yet to come. –Allison Jackson

Sue – I am not really sure how to say “thank you” for all the life changing opportunities that you have given me over the past 17 years. Because of your support I had many remarkable “firsts”. You were the first one to hire me into a management position and later into a corporate position where I could work for this extraordinary company in an industry that even Stephen Hawking has cited as “one of the most impactful influences to the future of humanity”. I still can’t believe anyone would give me such a chance (as small town girl from Farmington, New Mexico), but you did, and I will remember your kindness and support as one of the most precious gifts I have ever been given. You were my first manager allowing me to travel to Malaysia, Philippines, China, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Israel, Canada and Ireland where I met amazing people and experienced the enchantment of new cultures and new countries. In our travels, you were the first to “power shop” with me and the first to present “Data is Power” with me to an audience of leaders who still to this day (12 years later), refer to us as experts because of it. You were the first person to take me deep sea fishing and I was the first person to get one of your original paintings - (a Santa Fe landscape that reminds me of home that I will cherish forever). Now you are my first manager to leave and before you go, I need to tell how what an important and significant influence you have been for me and to say Thank You. You have changed my life in amazing ways that I would have never imagined but have always hoped for. As Intel moves forward with “connecting and enriching the lives of every person on earth”, we know your support for our healthcare programs have enriched not only the lives of Intel employees and their families, but also for others around the world who have used us as role models as we blazed new trails and who are now following our path. We will miss you very much but I know you will have a wonderful time as you move forward on your journey ---- “Listen to your body and emotions when they talk to you. Let the old fall away and listen to your inner guidance as your heart leads you to someplace new” --- Melody Beattie Love You Karen

For Sue - Thank you for your vision and the encouragement you have given us to pursue new ideas and to build new programs that have helped Intel and its employees. You prove that something that seems impossible is possible. Thanks for all your support and wisdom. We will miss you. Ramona Ayala

Sue will be known for setting the vision for health and well-being at Intel. I feel honored to have part of her “trailblazers” bringing wellness opportunities to Intel employees. Best wishes to Sue in her retirement. Her contributions to Intel will not be forgotten as she has shared her knowledge and wisdom with many of us to carry into the future! -Patti Clavier

Dear Sue, May all your wishes and dreams be fulfilled in your retirement. I wish you health and happiness in the coming years as you pursue your hobbies and interests and in spending time with family and friends. God Bless, Colleen

Sue, When I think of you, remind me of this quote, “Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of traveling.” Although I feel sad about you are leaving, make me feel happy to think about your FATASTIC manner of keep on traveling through your life. Enjoy the journey and thank you for all you have given me! Sincerely, Chong

Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn. | Costa Rica

My fondest memories of Sue are of international travel together back in the old days when we were not so restricted by budget. Sue is a great travel companion. Seeing Israel, Singapore, the Philippines, and Malaysia together, among other countries, was great fun, and somehow we managed to get some work done as well. Perhaps the high point was the Intel Occupational Health meeting in a conference room in the historic Raffles Hotel in Singapore, in conjunction with the ICOH Meeting there. I think we even had a Singapore Sling in the Long Bar there (after the meeting, of course). When I first met Sue about 24 years ago, her office at the Oregon site was a slightly glorified closet. She has come a long way since then and has helped to bring us all along, as well. We will miss you, Sue. -Michael
