Pioneer Valley Country Music Festival - Page Text Content

BC: Singing was something i have always enjoyed but never taken too seriously until i would go & compete then for some reason all your nerves would come out all at once. I remeber being so nervous at one festival I couldn't move & you know what, I think a judge may have told me to use the stage more. Bit hard when your legs are shaking that much you can't. These are all the things i used to get told as a competitior from the judges watch your pitch, diction, use the stage more, your splitiing your words & watch your mic technique. Competitions are the one place you can always pick something up to work on . No matter whether it is a little harsh these things are said to help us improve in our ability as a performer.

FC: My Journey as I go home to the Pioneer Valley Country Music Festival Mar 14th, 15th & 16th

To Those who helped make this weekend so memorable for me i would like to say a big thank you. Pioneer Valley Festival, for me ,is like coming home & this is where I wanted to shine & show everyone I had finally grown up with time & grace. I feel over the last 10years i have grown & learnt a lot ,not only about myself as a person, but as a performer. I have also learnt about friendships & how with time anything is possible. I found a great friend not so long ago & I am greatful for her friendship & for her unknowing help in pushing me with my singing, without her I would never have driven myself to improve. Levena I thank you & I hope our friendship lasts for a long time to come. To my dearest friend,Russell, I thank you for your solid belief in me & your friendship. It has meant alot over the years & i hope our friendship continues to last for a lifetime. Last but not least I would like to thank all of my new friends who are always smiling & laughing because that just makes it all so much more fun Just one more thing I have to thank all the competitors & judges because without you all we wouldn't have any festivals to compete at. SEE YOU ALL AT THE NEXT FESTIVAL!!!!!

This is my Dad... I guess you could say that i inherited my talent from him. He sang in bands from the time he was 16yrs old, he also used to make guitars when he got older. One of his prized possessions was a white firebird elctric guitar. Singing in one of his bands....

This is my mum back when she was is the " RSL Girl in a Million"

This is me at the Moranbah Country Music Festival in 1995

This Lady was the first person I competed with Ms Lana McCrindle. We were in Airlie Beach when this photo was taken for Phil Hewitts Queensland Karaoke Night.

This is the man himself "Mr Phil Hewitt" He has been a great friend & helped me with some techniques i need to work on with my singing!!!

Oh my God bad hair day!!!! This is my Duo "Treason" I sang in this duo for approx 3 & a half yrs with Phil McCurley. We used to sing in the Valley mostly at Garget, Pinnicle & sometimes Mirani.

2007 CH CHAMPIONS "CLERMONT BEARS" It was the second year in a row this team won the premiership trophy. Before 2006 ,which was the first year they won, they hadn't won for 13yrs before that it was great to see the boys get up & i was so proud to be a part of it. That is me on the truck with all my groupies...

This is my Duo here in Clermont... We are called "FEVER"

14yrs ago I started on a journey , It has bought me to where i stand today & i wouldn't trade one single moment or bad situation for anything. I am who I am today because of the journey my life has taken me on. I have met many people along the way, some have gone by the way but some are still here in my heart & only a phone call or email away. This is where my journey starts to reap rewards & this is The Day I came home to PVCMA

Friends who have helped me since moving to clermont are belinda taylor & Danny Mckay. Without Danny we would have no where to play music or practice for upcoming festivals!!!!

With the other placegetters | Rhonda, Talitha | Dennis King Jack Brennan | Rhonda, Talitha

These guys helped me get there Thank you

I had the best week end at Finch Hatten it was just like i had come home. If it hadn't been for good friends {who just happened to be the backing band} i don't think it would have been the same. Thank you to Russ, Levena what a time we have had but i wouldn't trade anything it has helped me become the person i am now i would onl;y change not having a great friendship for all of those 10years, Steve & Tim the amazing drummer. But in my neck of the woods i thank danny for the time he has taken to help me with so many things. Thank you to all of you for making my life better in some way .

This is the funniest guy i think i have seen or even met in my whole life "Mr Andy Barra" Andy won the " Lorraine Cobber" award last year at Pioneer Valley Country Music Festival And believe me once you've met Andy or seen him it isn't hard to work out why he won this coverted award.

Being Presented with the "Lorraine "Cobba" O'Connor Spirit of the Festival Award.

This is me singing & accepting my "spirit of the festival" award. It was a very emotional moment for me, especially as i had lived there previously for a number of years so i knew quite a few people.
