FC: So Blessed! 2011
1: We had a blessed year. The only negative thing that can be said is that our children our growing up way too fast. Watching them grow up is just so magical. We thank God for our marriage, our children, and our wonderful families.
2: Let's Paint and Get Messy!
3: Kylie has always loved to paint. Tyler enjoys painting, too. However, he used vanilla pudding colored with food coloring. :)
4: My first haircut
5: Daddy started with the scissors, but they bothered Tyler. He switched to the clippers, and Tyler didn't mind those at all. Tyler did have goldfish for distraction. Daddy did a Great job on Tyler's hair!
7: Kylie loves pretending to be a grown-up. she likes pretend tea parties, pushing her brother in the stroller, and talking on her pretend phone. She says she can't wait to grow up so she can tell her kids what to do :)
9: Tyler | Tyler had his 1st birthday party at Chick-Fil-A. He had a good time and REALLY dug into his cake, face first!

11: Something to tell his therapist when he grows up :)
12: Daddy is putting make-up on his little girl. This certainly made Kylie's night!
13: Meanwhile, Tyler climbed into Kylie's plastic drawers.
16: Let's | Picnic
17: Having a picnic in the playhouse is one of Kylie's favorite things to do. Tyler enjoys it too. He also loves climbing on top of the picnic table.
18: What could be more fun than finding a catepillar and watching it crawl all over you? Kylie had no fear of this little creature.
20: Kylie loved the Easter Bunny. However, she did very rudely say to him, "I want candy!" | The Easter Bunny did not impress Tyler!
21: These photos are from the Easter Celebration at Lake Benson park. They had a great time.
22: Dying Eggs...Egg Hunt...Candy! | Mouths full of well-earned candy. Tyler in his Easter Bucket | A little TOO much Easter Fun for Tyler.
23: We just love Easter. The kids were able to do two Egg Hunts, dye Easter Eggs, and attend church where their AMAZING Teachers taught them about the true meaning of Easter. We are very blessed. | Easter Dress...Easter Bunny..Jesus!
24: Sand & Water Play | Playing in the sand and water table is a lot of fun for them. They love to be out getting messy. Tyler always pours water all over himself. Kylie often pretends to cook.
26: Sweet kids!
27: Kylie enjoyed making a little cake. She was so proud of the way she decorated it. She especially loved the tasting part of baking. | Kylie has a sweet tooth. So, instead of waiting for one of us to open her chocolate-covered bunny, she took care of it herself with her scissors. | Sweet tooth
28: Generations of LOVE...
30: Our Vacation to Natural Bridge, VA | We stayed at Jellystone Camp and Resort. This was not exactly a 5 star resort. However, the kids didn't notice. Kylie had her own loft to sleep in. We were able to grill-out and have a campfire. There was even a little playground.
31: Natural Bridge Zoo
32: FOAMHENGE This is a foam replica of Stonehenge. It was a silly, fun, spur-of-the-moment detour.
33: Natural Bridge is one of God's beautiful creations. We attended a light show there one evening after dark. The show represented all the days of Creation with lights, music, and scripture. | Of course, we had to visit the real Natural Bridge. Somehow I have no photos. I found these to display here.
34: Celeste's Birthday Party!
35: The 'Castle Park' in Southern Pines They love exploring all the rustic-style play equipment.
36: Fun on our home-made water slide! | Tyler and Kylie slid again and again to get a big splash!
37: A visit to the public pool. | What could be more fun than a giant water gun in the splash playground?!
38: Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children. Matthew 19:14
39: Children are such a blessing! They can be little angels one minute, and mischief makers the next. Everything they do is so fun and amazing. Thank you God for our wonderful children.
40: SWIM LESSONS! | "Miss Anne" was tough but loving with all the kids. The first day I heard her say, to a crying little boy, "There's no crying at Miss Anne's pool." She was really great and taught them so much.
41: Kylie learned so much from "Miss Anne". Kylie was jumping in, swimming underwater, and retrieving objects after just one week. The highlight for her was the popsicle she received on the last day!
43: We spent July 4th at Lake Tillery as we do almost every year. Kylie had fun in the water and actually jumped in to be caught by Daddy. Tyler played with the water more on dry land! We all had fun! Happy Birthday, Philip!
44: Our 10thAnniversary
45: Philip planned this surprise for our 10th Anniversary. It was amazing. I had always wanted to ride in a hot air balloon. We had great views and, after I got over my fear, it was very peaceful.
46: Dance Camp Fun! Kylie had SUCH a GOOD Time!
47: Dancing with Daddy is even BETTER than dance camp!
48: Rescue Day | A visit to our local fire department. The kids enjoyed seeing the fire truck, meeting real firefighters, and receiving a firefighter hat.
49: Inspired by the visit to the fire department, the kids continued in rescue mode. | Philip joined in the fun. The kids enjoyed having Daddy doctor them.
50: Kylie started a new "school" this fall. She began attending Seeds of Faith preschool at Fuquay Varina United Methodist Church. She has had so much fun and learned a lot, especially about the Bible. | Tyler with his "blankie".
51: The top three pictures show a princess pizza tea party. | The bottom three pictures show the kids playing with colored rice.
54: Picking Grapes at G-G-Ma and G-G-Pa's house. | These kids share their Mommy's passion for grapes!
55: A Teacher in the Making...Kylie teaches all of her dolls & stuffed animals. | A special night when Kylie was allowed to stay-up late, watch Tangled, and sleep in our bed.
56: We all had a good time at Ken's Corn Maze. Of course, we got lost in the Maze. We found our way out, but it took a while. the Hay Jump and Corn Pit were favorites for Kylie and Tyler. Philip made it more fun by tossing them in the hay. Gina joined in on the corn pit fun. The Chick Fil A cow even showed up. This was a great family day. | Ken's Corn Maze
58: NC STATE FAIR 2011
59: This was Kylie's year for the State Fair. In the Village of Yesteryear, she enjoyed watching people demonstrate their crafts and trades. Her Daddy even helped her make a handmade doll. We also told Kylie she could ride a few rides. She spent all of her tickets on the slide/obstacle course. Tyler got in on the fun too. You can see the chocolate around his mouth in the picture above. He also enjoyed playing in the kids' area, crawling through tunnels and playing with pretend food.
62: Yes, we did torture Tyler by dressing him as a carrot to match his sister's bunny costume. Actually, Tyler enjoyed his costume and all the Halloween events. Free candy, games, jump houses... FUN!
64: Kylie's First Backyard Campout
65: Kylie had been asking to campout for quite a while. Philip decided to take her camping in the backyard. We had a campfire, and Tyler and I went inside and went to bed. It was a VERY cold night, but Kylie and Philip stuck it out. all night. Kylie had her first campout with Daddy :)

71: Kylie had her 4th Birthday Party at a local bounce house. She had a great time. The best part is that she asked that guests bring food and coat donations instead of gifts. Later, we took the donations to the Emergency Food Pantry.
72: BUILT WITH LOVE
73: Philip is an excellent carpenter. He can build just about anything and make it look great too. This year, he made handmade wooden blocks. He also made Tyler a bed. Tyler was so excited to be in his big boy bed. He seemed so proud that his Daddy made it for him!
74: Practice Makes.... | Dress Rehearsal
75: Kylie performed to one song during her Winter Dance Recital. Her class did a tap routine to Up On the Housetop. It was VERY cute and she did very well. Her shoe even fell off, but she kept right on going.! | ...A Perfectly Cute Dance Recital
76: Let us Celebrate and Remember the Birth of Our Savior!
77: We had a Wonderful Christmas. We spent time with family, talked about Jesus' Birthday, and just enjoyed ourselves. Kylie and Tyler made handmade ornaments this year too.
