FC: Hunley Family Pacific Northwest Summer 2011

1: We had such an amazing time. 18 days traveling around the Pacific Northwest. Spending time with family, old friends and meeting new people. Truly a trip of a lifetime.

43: The Astoria-Megler Bridge is a Cantilever bridge over the Columbia River. This bridge is much, much higher than it looks in this picture.

59: Tillamook Cheese Factory, yummy cheese. Lincoln City, Oregon, one of the many beautiful towns we drove through. Looking out the passenger window, down the step banks of Highway 101. Sometimes, it was very scary.

61: If you look close, you will see a Whale.

62: Cape Foulweather and The Otter Crest State Wayside area.

63: This picture does not justice for how beautiful the Pacific Coast truly is.

65: The lighthouse is close to Newport, Oregon, was made in Paris. First lit in 1873. It is still an active lighthouse. Rookery Birds on the offshore rocks, really cool, but so smelly.

73: Enjoyed our time in Florence. Driving through Dunes City, you could see people riding on the dunes. Another Geocache located.

85: The trees are bigger, the ferns are bigger, even the slugs are bigger. I think we could have spent weeks here, exploring. Another place, that we loved visiting!
