3: Dad, thank you... For working hard to provide for your family and serving your country. For cheering our accomplishments and not judging our mistakes. For making a loving marriage based on respect, admiration, and unconditional love look easy. For teaching your children to respect others and keep family their first priority. For teaching your children the importance of education and a strong work ethic. For all your kindness, generosity, and support. And for raising a son that I am proud to call my husband. Best wishes for a wonderful 70th birthday! Love, Jana
5: G-pa, Where do I begin? As the rock of our family you are the one that everyone goes to with questions and seeks guidance from. Throughout the past 20 years, I have come to you with questions and sought advice, direction and support. You have always done everything you could to make sure my hopes, dreams, ideas and goals become reality. You have supported all of my decisions, even though you may have not agreed with them. I was not born your son, but you ended up teaching me the things my father could not do. You were the one who taught me to tie my shoes and ride a bike. You took me to baseball games and stood with me in the student section at a Huskers game. You did not have to do all of these things, but you did. No one forced you, nor asked you to raise me, but you did. You have impacted my life in so many ways and you will never know what that truly means to me. A grandfather is someone with grey in their hair and gold in their heart. I know that if we were to open up your heart today, it would be lined with gold and filled with love. \\Any one who has had the chance to know you knows what I am talking about.I am so blessed to be your grandson and I am honored to know such an admirable, charismatic, lovable and generious man. So, Happy 70th Birthday! May you live another 70 years and get to see your great-grandchildren, and teach them all the things I can not, and guide and assist me in all of life's endeavoures. Love, Andy
7: Baseball Baseball is one of the things that comes to mind when I think about my Dad. From learning to play as a kid, to sitting next to him in the stands at various ballparks. 11: Emily + Grandpa = Forever Together A trip around the world, is nothing compared to you. From the Strawberry Fest, I'd admit it was the best. On Grandma's bike standing tall, I would always fall. Year after year, you leave me with not one tear, not even a fear. I think about you day and night, Hoping everything was alright. We would always play ball, you've been there since I started to crawl. From the baseball games, I'm surprised you're not in the hall of fame. You are always in my heart, ever since the start. We would always babble, but we OWN in Scrabble! Happy Birthday Grandpa!

18: Daddy's Little Girl
19: Dear Dad, Wow, where have the years gone? Just seemed like yesterday that you were taking me to the emergency room after I split my chin open on the side of the pool. What a great mentor, man and dad! You have always guided me in the right direction...some I wondered about but you were always right. You made life interesting. From waiting at the dinner table to see who would get the keys to turning the sprinkler on my nice clean car. When I needed help you were always there to give support, guidance, lots of love and of course your opinion! You have always been there for me in the toughest of times. We have made such great memories as father and daughter. I am so proud to be your little girl! Happy 70th Birthday! Love, Mary

23: 70 years old! I can't imagine that many son-in-laws can say that they truly wish they could have known their father-in-laws for their whole life, I can say that. Your dedication to your family, life and work are an inspiration and I am honored to call you Dad and my friend. ""My motto was always to keep swinging. 25: I have a lot of memories of Dad through-out my 28 years in the Halloran family, Here are some of my favorite: *Running out of Gas in the Maxima and Dad having to come and pick us up. We were laughing so hard and Dad was so mad! *Meeting NeNe and she informed me that the name "Mick" was only to be used by Mom and that I was to call him Dad. *We went with Dad, Mom and Christie to buy a new entertainment center and the lady was "gritchy" and you told her "no thanks" and walked out. I was so proud of you Dad...but it did take you a long time! Happy 70th Birthday! Love, Julie and Gabby
