2: We were so grateful that Grandpa & Grandma Moffat were there for this special day. They stayed after church and had dinner before they flew home.
3: Sunday,March 12, 2006 Tyler received the Aaronic Priesthood.

5: President Monson came to to speak to the Las Vegas Area Counsel. It was held at the Las Vegas Speedway. Paul worked for months with Todd Moody to plan this event and it turned out great. Even though it was pouring rain, it was amazing to listen to President Monson. When the event was over, Tyler was honored to give the closing prayer. When he was done, President Monson shook his hand and put his arm around him. This was the first of several personal experiences with him.
7: While the boys were at the BYU basketball camp they went to visit Bill Birch. Bill has been a wood carver for years and makes bolo ties.
8: In June right after school got out we went up to Kolob Resivior. We camped on the beach and had the water to ourselves. The boys lived int he canoes. | In June right after school got out we went to Kolob Resivior with Brandon and Tanner Vance. We camped right on the beach and the boys had the water to themselves. The loved canoing to the island and playing in the mud.
9: After playing in the mud and the lake and getting filthy. Tyler washed out his clothes, including his underwear. Then he roasted his undies over the fire to dry them.
10: 2006 | Thanksgiving day helping Grandpa Layton put up Christmas lights.
11: Boys Trip to California right before Mom had surgery.
12: Tyler has been very blessed to know his Great Grandparents. Great Grandpa Pope was alway so interested in everything he was doing. His last conversation with me, he was asking about Tyler
13: 2007 "Guys and Dolls" Cumorah Academy school play.All three of the boys played gangters. They sang and danced and had a great time, but they were happy when it was over.
14: Biking, swimming and running are all things that Tyler is great at. He has participated in several triatholans. This is a fun thing for the boys to do togther.
15: Tyler's brothers paid him 5 dollars to eat a dog biscuit. Ooh yuck... The deal was he had to chew the whole thing....HE did it!
17: Lego Land 2008 Summer trip to Oceanside. We stayed in a condo on the beach with the Hendersons. One of the best days was Lego Land. Even though they were soaked, the boys had a "blast" in the water balloon launching arena.
18: Bill J. Pope passed away in November 2010. | Alan W. Layton passed away November 2009.
19: May 26, 2009 Our family met with President Monson and President Erying for Grandpa & Grandma Layton's setting apart as Oquirrh Mountain Temple President and Matron. President Monson just sat and talked and told us stories about himself for quite awhile. After almost an hour of being with them, President Monson asked if anyone had any questions, Emily requested on Tyler's behalf a blessing from the prophet. As these amazing men, along with Great Grandpa Pope, Grandpa Layton, your father and uncles layed their hands on your head, the spirit of the Lord was undeniable. We were told that day to "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding."
20: Fun day in Provo with our cousins. We went ice blocking at Rock Canyon Park.
21: March 2010 we went on a hike with Wayne and Patrice Tew. We drove out to Lake Mead and found some caves. The coolest part was watching Jack (dog) climb up huge rock walls.
22: A visit to Salt Lake over Christmas break. Paul and David took Tyler, Peter, Christoffer, Jacob and Andrew to a jumping zone and for pizza. It was a great boys night out, with arm wrestling and lots of food.
23: This was the night of our ward Standard's Night. Tyler had just turned 16. Is he the most handsome 16yr old ever? | I love my boy!
24: Wayne Woodbury moved into our ward and soon became part of our family. He came to Sunday dinners and loved to hang out with the boys. On the night of The Prom, he drove Tyler and he date home.
25: Two weeks after Tyler' 16th birthday was the "Mormon Prom". Tyler went on a blind date and doubled with Brandon Vance. The dance was held at the North Las Vegas Airport in a hanger.
26: Daybreak Canyon | Jack is a malamute that lives at Daybreak. He is one of Tyler's new best friends.
28: During the summer at Daybreak, Tyler spent two days a week at the Brackett's Ranch. He learned to tag and brand cattle. He was filthy, bruised and exhausted, but he loved it. By the end, they had branded 1,300 head of cattle.
29: In September, Dave Frank took the boys from Daybreak on an overnight camp out and hike.
30: Our first community pass to Twin Falls with the whole family was wonderful. Sunday we picked Tyler up and had dinner at a pizza buffet and walked around the temple. The next day was Paul's birthday. We slept in, went out to breakfast and went shopping for some warm clothes. If felt so good to be together.
31: During our visit over Thanksgiving we went as a family to the Twin Falls temple to do baptisms for the dead. Paul performed the baptisms for all four of us. It was so special experience to be there together. Although it was a snowy cold day and freezing, but it was a perfect.
