1: An overview of Gandhi's life achievements. What impact did he have on India, and even the world? Did he back up his beliefs with his actions? Why did the people love him?
2: Gandhi was and still is considered the Father of India. | The people loved him because he was not afraid to take action against England, who was ruling over India. He had the best interests of the people, and their country at heart.
4: Gandhi believed in leading a simple life.
5: The people of India burned cloth that was made in other countries, such as England. Gandhi used a spinning wheel to make his own clothes as a sign of economic independence. Therefore, the spinning wheel became a symbol of India.
6: In 1930, Gandhi announced that he would not be paying the English Government salt tax. | Gandhi and followers started marching on April 5, to the sea from Ahmedabad. They collected salt water in jars, and then got the salt from the salt water. Gandhi was arrested and charged because he was the leader of plans, which were to seize the government's salt depots.

11: Gandhi was arrested numerous times for trying to overthrow the British government. He spent several years in jail, but he was released after undergoing surgery. Gandhi's goal was to help India achieve its independence. In 1947, Indians all over the world celebrated as they received independence from British rule. Soon after India's independence, in January of 1948, Gandhi was murdered. However, his legacy will forever live on.
