FC: The Outlaw Family 2010

What a year! 2010 was a great year for our family in many ways. We laughed, lived & celebrated. We drew deeper into our faith. And we found out we would soon be a family of 5! BLAKE: Blake had a great year, making adjustments in his business that lightened his load. We are grateful that he is able to be such a hands-on dad & husband. He also became the head of the men's ministry at our church, as well as a bible study leader. AUDRA: Audra also lead a bible study at our church. It was also a big year for her as a writer. Not only did she do some freelance work but she also kicked off Story of Grace, a book she is working on that will feature inspirational testimonies. She completed 5 interviews, including one in Mexico & one with a pastor from Uganda. In June we found out we would be having another baby boy & thankfully the pregnancy has been quite smooth. Audra loves being a "Boy Mom" and is looking forward to bringing Baby Brooks into the world. GAGE: Gage had a big year. He had a great preschool experience at Sonshine School. He was blessed with a wonderful teacher, Ms. Julie, who really understood him and truly loved him. At the end of the school year he received an award for "Individuality". We were so proud of him! He is currently in PreK at Veritas Academy, which has been wonderful. Gage loves his brother & loves to craft and build things. He has a wonderful imagination. He has an amazing capacity for the bible & loves his class at church. He is thoughtful, loving & very smart. It is a joy to watch him grow! MILES: Miles also had a big year. At the beginning of the year, he went with Audra to Mom 2 Mom at our church on Wednesdays. Here he earned the nickname "Angel Puff". In August he started his first preschool class at Kingdom Kids! He was apprehensive to start but is now quite the class clown & has made many little friends. It has been fun to see him come into his own. Miles is such a love who has wonderful manners & loves to make people laugh. He is also very smart & is a great friend.

MILES TURNS 3! Miles celebrated his 3rd birthday with a party at Build-A-Bear and lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. He had such a great time celebrating with his closest friends & family. Miles is a handsome bundle of smiles & laughter! | Friends who attended included Siena, Margot, Gage, Rachel, Makena & Keegan.

 Happy Valentine's Day!

 Snow Day!

GAGE TURNS 5! What originally started out as a super hero/hiking/scavenger hunt party (that's a 5 year old for you!) turned into a bowling party under the threat of rain. Gage had such a blast and so did his sweet little friends. | Friends who attended included Gwen (& her sisters), Eshan, Beck (& his sisters) and Rebecca (& her sister).

It's fun to be a kid! Gage loves to dress up & play superhero. He has a wonderful imagination!

Monkey Miles is ALWAYS entertaining us! He loves to sing, dance & make funny faces. He is an absolute riot & loves to make people laugh.

Estes Park, Colorado July 2010 We had a fantastic trip to the YMCA Estes Park camp. We had a 2 bedroom cabin with an amazing view & were able to get away, relax & enjoy each other as a family. We flew kites, played mini golf, went hiking & fishing, rode horses, took a hayride, played games & enjoyed all that Rocky Mountain National Park has to offer. The boys loved "our little cabin" & were completely adventurous & up for anything. Even Gage, who has never been open to riding a pony before, couldn't wait to try it at Estes Park. We plan to be back as often as possible!

A day of hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park

We had a great hike up & around a waterfall in Rocky Mountain National Park. They also loved playing Mini Golf!

We all had an awesome time fishing at a trout farm. The boys each caught two. Miles caught the only albino trout! We took them home and cooked them up for a yummy dinner!

Summer was HOT! So we spent it with friends at the lake, in the backyard pool, on the swings, at Morgan's Wonderland & at an impromptu weekend getaway to Marble Falls. | Gage & Miles spent a week at Champ Camp with their favorite gymnastics teacher, Miss Charlotte. They had a blast!

Gage got a hole -in-one on the 1st hole!

Pumpkin patch at Sweetberry Farms in Marble Falls.

We spent Halloween trick-or-treating with our dear friends, the Hampton's. Our kids LOVE their kids, Beck, Libby & Ella. Gage dressed up as Anakin from Star Wars. Miles was originally a Clone Trooper but during playtime beforehand he found Beck's Power Ranger costume & decided to go with that. It was a great time!

Thanksgiving was spent at Uncle Ronnie & Aunt Jenny's new house in Dallas. The whole family was there, as well as Jenny's family. The day before we took cousins Drew & Dean to the Ft. Worth Zoo, | Another exciting moment during Thanksgiving in Dallas came when Gage lost his first tooth! It had been loose for about a week and the new tooth was already popping up behind it. He was eating pizza the night before & out it came! He was so excited he could hardly stand it. The tooth fairy was very generous & dad took him to spend his money the next day at the Dollar Store.

In June we found out we were being blessed with a baby boy. We were all thrilled! Gage is stepping up as a leader & Miles is so excited about becoming a big brother! He can't seem to keep his hands off momma's belly. He talks & sings to him often. In November, Sandy, Sherry, Jenny, Mariana & Molly threw me a beautiful shower at Bountiful Bakery in Bee Cave.

The Outlaw Family LOVES the Christmas season! We started it out by going to the Elgin Christmas Tree Farm with the Sunstrom family to chop down our own tree. After a hayride & much running around, we settled on a beautiful tree. The boys even helped dad chop it down!

Gage & Miles did a stellar job decorating the tree. We did a lot of holiday baking & looking at Christmas lights. We also went to Blanco for the Main Street Bethlehem program. It was amazing & the boys were fascinated by the sights & sounds of Bethlehem at the time of Jesus’ birth. A memorable moment came as we rounded the corner to the quiet of the manger scene & Gage started singing Away In a Manger in his soft, sweet voice.
