5: -Gets up on all fours -Says "dada" -Waves -Sleeps on tummy -Blows raspberries with tongue -Starts daycare -First ear infection | In August, we took a very special trip to Zoo Boise, where Ellie got to feed the giraffes. She wasn't too sure about their long purple tongues, but definitely thought they were pretty cool!
6: Eight Months
7: At the end of September, Great Grandpa and Grandma made a special trip from Ilwaco to spend time with Ellie. The trip just happened to coincide with the BSU-OSU football game... Go Broncos! In October, we spent the day at a local pumpkin patch where Ellie played in a pit of corn kernels, checked out the petting zoo, and picked out her very own pumpkin. For Halloween, our little ladybug was a big hit. It was a fantastic fall! | -Moves from tummy to sitting -Crawls -Yells "da da da" to get attention -Loves alligator xylophone
8: In November, the Barker family congregated in Sarasota, Florida to help Grammy Barker celebrate her 106th birthday. Ellie did very well on her first plane ride, LOVED playing in the sand, and enjoyed meeting her Grammy. We even made a trip to the local aquarium, where the sting rays were Ellie's favorite! | Nine Months
9: So many new tricks... pulls to stand, cruises along furniture, throws a ball, loves dolls, gives us nuzzles with her head, holds her arms above her head to show us "so big," enjoys peed-a-boo. | On November 16, 2010, after one LONG ear infection, Ellie had ear tubes placed

12: Having a baby around made the holidays even more fun! We attended the lighting of the city Christmas tree, decorated cookies at the annual Anderson Family party, and joined Grammy for a living manger... Ellie thought the camel was pretty cool! | Eleven Months | Ten Months
13: -Stands -Says "uh-oh" -Nurtures baby dolls -Cruises around behind a push toy -Celebrates her first Thanksgiving -Cuts teeth 5-8
14: What a fabulous way to celebrate the holiday! As our baby girl inches closer to toddlerhood, she is standing, using a spoon, and expanding her vocabulary. Her new favorite words are "puppy" and "up." We even hear an occasional "mama." At Christmas dinner, Ellie showed off her first signs... "all done" and "more." She can even point to her nose and eyes. It's official, she's growing up way too fast! | Eleven Months
15: Merry Christmas! | Baby's First Christmas
16: Happy Birthday Ellie | On January 16th, we celebrated Ellie's First Birthday with a "Sweet Shoppe theme. Lisa decorated the house with lollipops and candies while Chad made a variety of delicious cupcakes. Ellie was surrounded by family and friends as she tasted her first birthday cake.

18: One Year Old Our little chatter box has all kinds of new words... "please," "Papa," "baby," "help." She points to her tummy, climbs stairs, and loves to sing "Itsy Bitsy Spider." The best part of the day is when she grabs a book and backs herself into our lap.
