2: A is for Africa. | Africa is home to the longest river in the world! It is the Nile River. The Sahara Desert is the largest desert in the world. It is also located in Africa.
3: Boston is an old city. It is the capital city of Massachusetts. | B is for Boston.

5: One of Canada's national symbols is the maple leaf.
6: D is for Denmark.
7: Denmark has a queen who runs the country. It also has a statue of a mermaid called The Little Mermaid.

9: Egypt. | This African country has many pyramids, tombs, and other buildings that were built over 4,000 years ago.
10: F is for France. | The Eiffel Tower is a popular site to see, and it is located in Paris, France.
11: G is for the Grand Canyon. | The Grand Canyon is located in the US state of Arizona. In some spots, it is about 6,000 feet deep!
12: H is for Hawaii.
13: Hawaii is the only US state that is made up of islands. It is made up of 132 tropical islands!
14: I is for Ireland.
15: Ireland's national symbols are the shamrock and the harp. St. Patrick's Day is its national holiday that originated there.
16: J is for... | Japan.
17: The highest point of Japan is a mountain called Mount Fuji. It is 12,388 feet tall!
18: K is for Korea.
19: Korea is an Asian country that is between China and Japan. It is divided into North Korea and South Korea.
20: L is for London.
21: London is home of The Great Clock Tower. The famous bell inside of it is called Big Ben. Big Ben first chimed on July 11, 1859.
22: M is for Mexico.
23: Mexico's traditions include football, which is soccer, mariachi music, and so much more.
24: N is for New York City. | New York City is big, busy, and historical. When you are there, check out its historical places, such as the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, and Times Square.
25: O is for the Outback. | The Outback is a big, dry area in the country of Australia.There is cool wildlife that lives there, including kangaroos.
26: P is for Poland. | Poland is a country that is in central Europe. There are many lakes and rivers throughout Poland. There are also two mountain ranges in the southern part.

28: Quebec is the largest province of Canada. 80 % of the people here speak the French language.

30: Russia. | Russia is the largest country in the world. It also has the largest area of forests in the world.
31: S is for Spain. | Spain is located in the western part of Europe. The native language is Spanish. The Spanish word for Spain is Espana.
32: T is for Timbuktu. | What a long name! Many people think that this city is not real. It does exist! It is located in northern Africa, just outside of the Sahara Desert.
33: U is for the United States of America. | The USA is a country in North America. It is made up of 50 states. It is the 4th largest country in the world, too.
34: V is for Vietnam.
35: People grow rice and other crops in the wetlands in Vietnam. These wetlands are on the eastern side of Vietnam where the land meets the South China Sea.
36: W is for Washington D.C. | Washington D.C. is the capital city of the USA. This is where the President of the USA lives. This is also the home of the nation's government.
37: X is for Texas. | Texas is one of the US states. It is located in the west. It is the USA's biggest oil , cattle, sheep, mineral, cotton, and wool producer.
38: Y is for Yukon. | Yukon is a territory in Canada. It has one of the toughest dogsled races in the world called the Yukon Quest.
39: Z is for Zimbabwe. | This is a country in the southern area of Africa. One of its natural landforms is the Victoria Falls. This waterfall has the world's largest curtain of water flowing from it.
