Einstein's Early Life | Albert Einstein was born on March 14 1879. He was born in the German city of Ulm. His parents names were Pauline and Herman Einstein. His parents always thought that he was a very unusual boy. He wasn't like other boys. A couple years later Einstein became a big brother. His sister wasn't at all like him. She was a very normal child. One day his uncle came over and gave him a compass. It was really the only thing that interested him. Soon Albert had to start school and he didn't want to go. He didn't really understand why he had to go. when he became older he spent most of his time In his father's library.

Einstein's Hobbies | Einstein had many different hobbies. He wasn't always figuring out the signs of the universe, he could actually have fun sometimes. His hobbies included hiking, sailing, biking, and playing his violin. Sometimes he would play with the kids he met on his way to work.

Einstein's Work | He is best known for his discoveries about time, light, and gravity and how they affect the universe. His famous equation E=mc2 led to things such as nuclear power and radiation therapy. Even though He was a big world peace believer led to the creation of an atomic bomb.

Jewish Roots | After Germany lost the war he became more aware of his Jewish roots. The Germans blamed the Jews for the loss and that made him angry and worried. In 1921 Albert was asked to tour the United States to help raise money for the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. His answer was yes. When he was asked to become the president of Israel he said that he was deeply moved by the offer but he feels ashamed that he could not accept it.

Jewish Leader | I think that Albert Einstein was a great Jewish hero because he was one of the most famous and important scientists of all time. It is so cool to think that he of all the people of all the scientist in the world he is the Jewish one.
